Jennette McCurdy is sharing more details about her late mother showering her, nearly one year after her bombshell memoir release.

The actress toldLouis Theroux Podcast listeners this week that the alleged bathing took place until she “was 17 [or] 18.”

The formerNickelodeon iCarly child star, 31, recalled Debra McCurdy being clothed in the shower while “shampooing and conditioning [Jennette’s] hair [and] washing [her] body.”

Jennette claimed, “She would give me breast and vaginal exams in the shower and said that she was checking for lumps — she was just checking for cancer.”

Jennette felt “uncomfortable” and “violate[d]” but decided she couldn’t “ever try to shower [her]self again” after bringing it up once and seeing her mother’s “hysterical” reaction.

The former Nickelodeon star alleged she did not shower alone until Debra began battling cancer.

Debra lost her battle to the disease in 2013 at the age of 56, with Jennette waiting nearly one decade to release I’m Glad My Mum Died in 2022.

While promoting her best-selling book, the Sam & Cat alum read a disturbing passage aloud on a Red Table Talk episode.

Jennette alleged in September 2022 that Debra had her and one of her older brothers shower together until she was 11.

“He’s almost 16 at this point,” she read. “I get really embarrassed when she showers us together. I can tell he does too. … Scotty asked if he could shower himself [on his] own once. Mum sobbed and said she didn’t want him to grow up so he never asked again after that.”

Host Jada Pinkett Smith asked Jennette whether the experience influenced her current “dynamic” with her siblings — but the singer assured viewers that she remains “so close” with all three of them.

“They have been a source of love and consistency in my life when there really wasn’t much anywhere else,” Jennette said at the time. “We have such a beautiful bond … because of the things we went through together and the things we saw together.”

Jennette’s book documented more of her mother’s alleged transgressions, including introducing her to calorie counting.

Illinois Law Forces Landlords To Rent To Illegals Or Face Civil Rights Violations

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed SB 1817 into law, which mandates landlords must rent property to illegal immigrants. Democrats in this ultra-progressive crime-ridden state are under fire for prioritizing the needs of migrants over the needs of their constituents.

Breitbart first reported Pritzker signed SB 1817 into law on June 30. The rule amends the Illinois Human Rights Act to include "immigration status" as a protected class. This means landlords could get slapped with a civil rights violation if they 'discriminate' against a migrant.

"This law sets clear boundaries, protecting the rights of immigrants and ensuring that financial institutions and service providers cannot engage in discriminatory practices," Democratic State Sen. Ann Gillespie wrote in a statement.

Gillespie continued, "Putting these protections in place will promote fairness to ensure people are not unjustly denied housing."

The law comes after Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent more than 8,000 migrants to Chicago amid the worst border crisis ever – sparked by the Biden administration's failed open border policies. In the last few years, the record surge of migrant and drug flows into the country has triggered a twin crisis this country has never seen before.

Meanwhile, Democratic leadership in Chicago has pleaded with Abbott to halt the bussing of migrants from the southern border to their city because resources are limited to help them.

Justice Department Reverses Course, Says Trump Can be Held Personally Liable in E. Jean Carroll’s Defamation Lawsuit

The Justice Department on Tuesday reversed course and said Trump can be held personally liable in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit.

This is a reversal from the DOJ’s position that Trump was protected by the Westfall Act because he was president when he made the statements about E. Jean Carroll.

In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.

Trump has denied the allegations and called E. Jean Carroll a “whack job” who’s “not my type.”

In May the jury found Trump sexually abused and defamed Carroll and ordered him to pay $5 million in damages.

Trump blasted E Jean. Carroll during a CNN town hall a couple of weeks after the verdict.

“What kind of a woman meets somebody and brings them up and within minutes you’re playing hanky-panky in a dressing room?” Trump said, adding the accusation was a ‘fake’ and ‘made-up story.’

E. Jean Carroll went after Trump again and sought new substantial damages over his statements during the CNN town hall even though a jury already concluded Trump did not rape the woman!

Carroll’s attorney Roberta Kaplan (no relation to Judge Lewis Kaplan) cheered the DOJ’s reversal and said it was one of the last obstacles to the latest lawsuit reaching trial.

“We are grateful that the Department of Justice has reconsidered its position,” Kaplan said in a statement. “We have always believed that Donald Trump made his defamatory statements about our client in June 2019 out of personal animus, ill will, and spite, and not as President of the United States.”

The trial is scheduled for next January.

AP reported:

The Justice Department on Tuesday said that Donald Trump can be held personally liable for remarks he made about a woman who accused him of rape — a reversal of its position that Trump was protected because he was president when he made the remarks.

In a letter filed with the judge presiding over a defamation lawsuit that columnist E. Jean Carroll brought in Manhattan federal court in 2020, the department says it no longer has “a sufficient basis” to conclude that Trump was motivated in his statements about Carroll’s claims by more than an insignificant desire to serve the United States.

Previously, the department had agreed with Trump’s attorneys that he was protected from the lawsuit by the Westfall Act, which provides federal employees absolute immunity from lawsuits brought over conduct occurring within the scope of their employment.

Last month President Trump hit back at E. Jean Carroll with a defamation lawsuit, saying she falsely accused him of rape. This countersuit comes after a civil jury found him “guilty of sexual abuse and defamation,” but not rape, in May.

Filed in Manhattan federal court last month, Trump’s counterclaim cites Carroll’s post-verdict comments on CNN.
