I had a friend who was a pediatric nurse at a hospital in downtown Chicago.
She said that people would drop off their sick kids and use the hospital as a baby sitting service.
New Years Eve was especially busy.
People would come in all dressed up to go out for the evening, and drop their kids off at the ER, and have them admitted for the night, then take off for a night on the town.
Midazolam was introduced to the pediatric units in the 1980s. Touted as a miracle drug that could make it so that the kids didn't have "anxiety" from being away from their parents.
What Midazolam really does is cause anterograde amnesia (the inability to make new memories) so that the kids can't remember anything that happened to them. It has NO pain killing qualities, They say it is sedative. It is NOT. People who have received Midazolam can walk, talk, dress themselves, go to the bathroom. It is not a sedative, it is a memory blocker.
The kids can't tell anyone about the horrors that they endured, not because it didn't hurt, but because they can't remember it.
But the subconscious remembers it and they get PTSD from it.
Same with adults.
Never let anyone give you Midazolam (Versed)
They use it on adults for outpatient procedures like colonoscopies. And also prior to surgery so that they can treat people like a piece of meat in pre-op. Even EMTs can administer it to people who they think are out of control.
Write in your medical records that you are allergic to Midazolam.
