Rep. Matt Rosendale's amendment would end the indefinite

detention of American citizens without due process - something

Campaign for Liberty has fought for since President Barack Obama

signed it into law in 2012.

Right now, the amendment is before the House Rules Committee,

which largely determines which amendments will and will not be

adopted into the final bill. Our Capitol sources describe the

situation as "fluid," meaning the amendment could be decided

today, tomorrow, next week, or later.

Call the House Rules Committee offices RIGHT NOW

and tell them to adopt the Rosendale Amendment

ending indefinite detention of Americans!

If you and I and thousands and thousands of other patriots flood

these offices with calls today, we can make a difference.

Majority (Republican) office: (202) 225-9191

Minority (Democrat) office: (202) 225-9091

Here is a simple script you can use when leaving a message (with

a live person as well as a machine), or say what you like:

"Hello, this is (your name) from (your city and state). I'm

calling to urge the committee support and adopt the Rosendale

Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, to prohibit

the indefinite detention of American citizens without charges.

"No one should be indefinitely detained without charge or trial

based on a president's belief that the person is "dangerous." No

president, and certainly no government bureaucrat, should ever be

given the power to order a person indefinitely detained, without

sufficient evidence to bring a charge.

"This provision of the NDAA is grossly unconstitutional and

needs to be amended to protect the constitutional rights of all

American citizens."

These are the members of the Rules Committee. If one of them is

your congressman, by all means contact them as well:
