Ivermectin wasn't even suggested! I have been given three different meds so far, over the course of a year! This poor dog. My fault really as I give into his histrionics.

He's a 150+ pound dog with every sense of self preservation, he's strong and can knock down even three people who are trying to help him…and then mope around for two days after.

Tonight I rinsed his ears twice with salt and a vinegar solution, let him shake the shit out of himself. Toweled the residue from his ear canal as gently as possible, then applied the Canestan with finger tips, to be gentle.

He's still eyeing us as the enemy but accepted a peace offering of tuna oil (laced with a bit of a sedative) to keep him calm. He's 10 this year, and the bigger they are, the harder they fall, and that is the last thing I want right now!
