I can't remember what its called, but it reminds me of a theory of technology and exploration in which a critical mass or a point of singularity etc is reached that arrests outward exploration.. ie they go outward for resources and knowledge/power etc to a point, but then find more advantage in downsizing, as their mastery of tech/science now renders outward exploration valueless… they've got everything they need right where they are to keep progressing forward..

agreed, the "they don't want you to see this film" is kayfabe. but its alright.. the portion of the public that is resisting the would-be architects' narrative has enough retardation left in them to take something like this and rub it other peoples faces while its hot and then carry on with the same vigor as though they never thought it was that relevant to their cause.
