Good question… I'll take a stab.

I think that among those who decide to do this AS ADULTS…. it is overwhelmingly men.

(So for now put aside the every growing number of boys and girls being corrupted from a young age…)

And the bulk of these mid-life trannies seem to be men erotically fixated on the idea that they are women.

But then the real question is why there has been a growing onslought of this….

Autogynephilia is basically a MASCULINE thing (not in a good way).

So there is some very deep problem with the conception of masculinity that those who go in for this have.

Instead of recoiling at a momentary fascination with being a woman, these guys use their masculine energy and go all in.

Current "conservative" reconceptions of masculinity seem unable to deal with this at all.

They fall into two camps.

One is that a man should rejoice at being the guy who can pay the mortgage so his kids don't get evicted.

The other is that a man should take pride is banging sluts.

Both are clearly MEN.

One an athlete, one an intellectual, but that is a superficial difference here.
