Jesus
The previous verse alludes to it.
Not too hard to figure out.
"He" refers to the subject previously mentioned.
If two subjects were mentioned, then clarification might be necessary.
But the previous verse only mention Jesus, so he is the obvious subject.
I actually grew up memorizing Bible verses from the KJV.
All of those "thee" and "thous" is actually poetic to me. Like Shakespeare.
But the NIV is modernized to use modern English.
That's fine by me. I have no problem with that.
Go read the Bible in the original Hebrew and Greek that it was written in, and get back to me.
