You're missing an important detail, I think, anons.

These are ellipsis, not periods. (Well, for the most part).

 

…………… = 5 sets of ellipses.

………………….. = 7 ellipses + 2 periods.

 

My operating theory is that these ellipses stand for syllables, and periods for single letters. Thus, the 5 set could equal a five syllable word, like "assassination." I'm not saying that's the operative word in question here, but it's just a suggestion.

 

The periods, I think, are likely candidates for initials. (AS, or SR, if the context is assassination, for instance - but that's doubtful).

 

Thoughts?
