I dunno if I'd call it a curse, but since I was a teenager I was cursed with being surrounded by newborns or kids around me (siblings, cousins). So I went through the thing where you lose tons of sleep before exam / work, thinking the baby is dying from coughing and now everyone is gunna blame you if it dies under your care, shit, piss, vomit, and spit all over your new shit, and teaching them valuable Wisdom.
So technically yes but not as significant of a deal having to pontificate dying for your kids kinda of thing which comes with having real children. But that's also because I was smart and am waiting for the right time to have them considering the past 20 years have not been ideal.
