People were either very gullible or just plain stupid. Possibly both.
We all learned in school that viruses are really really small. Small enough that only a full body hazmat suit protects you from a virus. This was the SCIENCE I learned, as did millions of Americans and yet, they tossed it aside when the media/medical 'experts' said otherwise.
Sadly they donned their cloth masks because they were told it would protect them, forgetting every thing they ever learned. This is particularly sad for all the healthcare workers that fell for or perpetrated the ruse. They should actually be held accountable for passing along information they knew was false. They did after all graduate with a medical degree of some sort. They are either too stupid to continue to work in medicine or they lied to people. There are no other options.
Let's move on to those at the top. The government, the NIH, the WHO, Fauci, Birk, the media etc. They knew that cloth masks were useless so why recommend them to the public?

The virus was fake so it didn't matter. They found out who would bow down to their make believe science.

The virus was real and they suggested cloth masks knowing full well that they did nothing to stop the virus. Population control.
Either option makes them guilty of lying to the American people. Why would anyone trust them now? Apparently the same fools who were convinced an untested 'shot' would protect them.
