He said whenever you eat bread or drink wine, staples of that culture, you are to remember that he sacrificed His body and His blood to save humanity.

The Bible doesn't tell us that the bread was changed into flesh or that the wine was changed into blood.

It is representative.

As often as you eat and drink, remember.
