There's a litany of criminal charges ranging from petit larceny and grand larceny, domestic violence, drug possession, and an appeal to repeal deportation decision. There's also a divorce in there, somewhere.
as much as I think they guy is a scuzz, it's probably a good thing for him to have elevated protection. imagine how many (very dangerous) people want to get rid of him?

it's interesting that she doesn't explicitly state that she was molested, raped, whoknowswhat, just that she learned to differentiate between what was happening to her body and what was happening in her mind, heart, etc.
