But, a few observations then:

1. Why, if she's just holding her glasses, is the other guy completely focussed on them?

2. All 4 behind Mitch are clearly having some chatter among themselves, smirking, and all were staring at her hand when she made the jab.

3. She tried to make the jab seem casual but her nervousness made her spasm.

4. The freeze happened immediately after she jabbed him.

When I first made the post you're referring to, I hadn't seen the pics of Mitch's hand up close.

I have no clue what it is, but it looks like death and could very well be very sore. So her hitting it with the side of her glasses could be very painful and would cause him to freeze to not yell out in pain.

This is of course all just speculation and assuming that he's a real person and not a zombie or cyborg or something.
