It's a fine balance, but you must understand that many anons here are "free speech" absolutists. They feel they don't need BV or anyone else to help them discern what is 'good' and what is 'bad' posts. They know that they are equipped with a filter, in the case a poster gets too spammy.
Maintaining a board is at it's very core an act of censorship. Some might call it "good" censorship. But any removal or editing of any post is by its very definition censorship.
