Barack and Michelle Obama were spotted at the Vineyard Golf Club and Farm Neck Country Club, respectively, according to exclusive photos obtained by Daily Mail. The pictures are the first public glimpse of the Obamas since the loss of their dear friend and personal chef.

Dressed in a green polo shirt and white shorts, Barack Obama was seen engaged in a round of golf at the exclusive Vineyard Golf Club. The former president, noticeably bearing bandaged fingers, which causes speculations online.

Citizen journalist Travis of Flint, Michigan wrote, “just days after his personal chef and friend died in a very mysterious paddle boarding accident, Barack Obama appears to have injured fingers and a black eye. We still don’t know who the other person was and Obama loves paddle boarding. I think we can all guess what happened at this point!”

The reason for the tragic death of Tafari Campbell remains a mystery.

Tafari Campbell, 45, met his tragic end while paddle boarding on Great Edgartown Pond, Martha’s Vineyard, on Sunday night. He was reportedly not alone, but local police have yet to disclose the other person’s identity.

Police confirmed Campbell was visiting Martha’s Vineyard and was employed by the Obamas at the time of his death. Barack and Michelle Obama were not present at their home but were in town when the incident occurred.

On the night of the incident, the Edgartown Police Department’s logs confirm the receipt of a 911 distress call at precisely 7:46 pm, reporting the 45-year-old struggling to stay afloat on the surface before he drowned.

Oddly, the call log shows the reason for this call as BLANK – an inconsistency, considering that all other calls made that night had their reasons clearly mentioned.

Dispatch calls between Martha’s Vineyard emergency services confirm the presence of a second paddle boarder with Campbell.

According to a statement from the Massachusetts State Police reported by MassLive, the unidentified paddleboarder tried to swim to Campbell but tragically, “did not reach him in time.”

After the failed rescue attempt, the individual managed to swim back to shore and alerted someone who then called 911.

A female made the initial 911 call, who, as of 8:18 pm, was actively searching for Campbell on a boat, per Daily Mail.

Adding to the mystery, the call’s origin was marked as Wilson’s Landing, a popular paddle board launch site roughly two miles from the Obama residence on Turkeyland Cove. This information contradicts the Massachusetts State Police records, stating that the first call originated from the Obamas’ residence.

After Giving Nearly $2M to Defund the Police, EBay Billionaire Poised to Cash In on Private Security Investments

Never-Trumper Pierre Omidyar, the billionaire founder of eBay, has showered almost $2M on groups that call for defunding the police, including the website DefundPolice.org.

But that hasn’t stopped him from investing in private security start-ups and making money off of individuals and businesses desperate to keep themselves safe.

In June 2020, in response to protests over the police killing of George Floyd, funds tied to Omidyar’s philanthropic network announced donations of $500,000 to organizations supporting the protest movement.

The Movement for Black Lives, an “abolitionist” coalition of activists seeking to eradicate public policing, was one of the recipients of Omidyar money that year. Disclosures show that the Omidyar Network provided $300,000 to the group.

The website DefundPolice.org, which provides legislative and communication tools for activists to advocate for cutting police funding, is a collaboration between Omidyar-funded groups. The sponsors of the organization include PolicyLink, which received $700,000 from Omidyar Network and Law for Black Lives, a group that received $600,000 from the Democracy Fund, another Omidyar foundation.

According to Fox News, “At the same time, Omidyar was privately investing in companies capitalizing on the growing demand for security services. Bond, a New York-based company that bills itself as the Uber for bodyguards, listed Omidyar as one of its main investors. Bond referenced ‘civil unrest’ and rising crime in its 2020 marketing materials.”

US military bases infected with Chinese malware – NYT

A congressional official described the well-hidden code as a “ticking time bomb”

The US government is searching for a malicious computer code it believes Chinese hackers have been able to plant inside the networks controlling power grids, communications systems and water supply at US military bases at home and abroad, American officials have told the New York Times (NYT).

The perpetrators were “probably working for the People’s Liberation Army,” the paper’s Saturday article said. The piece didn’t explain how Washington was able to link the malware to China or to its military.

The unnamed US Army, intelligence and national security officials who talked to the NYT suggested that the code might be activated by Beijing to disrupt American military operations in case of a conflict, including the one that could occur around Taiwan.

China considers Taiwan to be a part of its territory, while the US, which supports the government in Taipei, promised to defend the self-governed island if Beijing tries to use force to bring it under control.

A source in Congress described the malware as essentially “a ticking time bomb” that could give China the ability to interrupt or slow down US military deployments or resupply operations, by disabling key utilities at American bases.

The officials also expressed concern that the impact of the code could be even broader, as the same infrastructure is often used to supply civilian homes and businesses.

The first hints of the problem emerged in May when Microsoft detected strange computer code in telecommunications systems on the Pacific island of Guam, where major American air and naval bases are located, and elsewhere in the US territory. But a malware spread in the networks has turned out to be much greater since then, with the US military and security agencies currently working to determine its full scope, the NYT said.

When addressed for comment, the acting spokesman for the US National Security Council Adam R. Hodge, assured media that “the Biden administration is working relentlessly to defend the US from any disruptions to our critical infrastructure, including by coordinating interagency efforts to protect water systems, pipelines, rail and aviation systems, among others.”

Saudi Arabia's 'Bone Saw' Prince To Host Ukraine Peace Summit

Saudi Arabia is now deigning to play peace-maker in Ukraine, having issued an invitation to several developing nations in order to woo them into Kiev and the West's corner on the conflict. This has included an invite for China, India, Brazil and South Africa to come to Jeddah in early August.

Ukrainian government representatives will reportedly also be there, but have yet to publicly confirm the plans, reported by The Wall Street Journal over the weekend. A top level White House official is also expected to represent the United States.

However, as The Associated Press cites, "Planning for the event is being overseen by Kyiv and Russia is not invited, the official said."

The summit, described as having as a vital focus the exploration of ways to achieve peace, is scheduled for Aug.5 and 6, and is to include representatives from some 30 countries total. The initial reporting stated the hosts hope to frame the basis for future peace negotiations with Russia toward Ukraine's favor.

And once again, fence-sitting China appears to be in the diplomatic crosshairs. "Western diplomats said that Saudi Arabia was picked to host the second round of talks partly in hopes of persuading China, which has maintained close ties to Moscow, to participate," wrote WSJ on Saturday.

"Riyadh and Beijing maintain close ties. Earlier this year, China helped negotiate a recent thaw between Saudi Arabia and its regional foe, Iran, months after the Saudis hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at an Arab summit," the publication noted.

Rapper Young Thug’s Legal Team Requests to Dismiss Goat Sacrificing Ritual Video Evidence in Upcoming Trial

The legal team of acclaimed rapper Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, has filed a motion to prevent a video showcasing the arrest of co-defendant Shannon “SB” Stillwell from being presented in the upcoming trial.

Williams’ attorney Brian Steel has filed a motion to prevent the jury from seeing a video of Stillwell’s arrest during a religious ritual.

The motion was filed on Thursday with the Superior Court of Fulton County, aimed at keeping the video footage out of Williams’ Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) trial.

The video in question captures the arrest of Stillwell during a religious ceremony on March 17, 2022. The ritual allegedly involved the sacrifice of goats, a practice the defense team argues is irrelevant to the charges against Williams and only serves to prejudice the jury.

According to Channel 2’s Michael Seiden, who obtained a copy of the motion, attorneys argue that Stillwell’s arrest is related to a separate murder charge unrelated to Williams’ case.

Williams, along with fellow Atlanta rapper Gunna and 27 others, were indicted under Georgia’s RICO Act in May 2022.

Williams and 27 other people were indicted along with fellow Atlanta rapper Gunna in May using Georgia’s RICO Act. The 88-page indictment claims they are part of the Young Slime Life, or YSL, a subset of the Bloods street gang. Prosecutors allege those named in the indictment have engaged in violent criminal activity in the city since 2012.

Young Thug, Martinez Arnold (also known as Duke) and Deamonte Kendrick (also known as Yak Gotti) are accused of possessing and attempting to sell marijuana and cocaine in May 2022. The indictment says they were possessing multiple guns: a GLOCK 357, a FN firearm, a GLOCK 19, a Smith & Wesson M&P and a GLOCK 45 with a “converter switch and extended magazine.” The GLOCK 45 modified into a machine gun resulted in another gun possession charge.

The total list of charges against 28 accused is up to 65 counts. The reindictment accused three additional people — Deamonte Kendrick, also known as Yak Gotti; Shannon Stillwell, AKA Shannon Jackson or SB; and Quamarvious Nichols, AKA Qua — of separate gun charges.

Williams’ legal team is concerned that biases against the religious practice could taint the jury’s perception of the case. As stated in the motion, “A reasonable person can also view this as character evidence as well.”

Williams and Stillwell are part of a group of over two dozen individuals charged in a wide-ranging gang indictment involving alleged members of the Young Slime Life (YSL) gang. Only eight defendants, including Williams and Stillwell, are currently involved in the trial, while the rest are being tried separately, according to WSB-TV.

Prosecutors allege that the gang has committed numerous crimes in Atlanta, “terrorizing the city” for their own profit. The trial, which has been in the jury selection phase since January, has been closely watched due to its high-profile defendants and the significant charges at stake.

DOJ tries to jail key Hunter Biden witness Devon Archer on eve of congressional testimony

The Justice Department is pushing for Devon Archer to report to prison — just days ahead of the former Hunter Biden business partner’s hotly anticipated congressional testimony, according to new court documents.

Manhattan federal prosecutors on Saturday filed a letter requesting a judge set a date for Archer to start his one-year sentence in a fraud case unrelated to the first son’s various scandals.

The request came after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed Archer’s 2018 conviction last Tuesday on two felony charges for his role in a conspiracy to defraud a Native American tribe.

Archer — who is set to deliver closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee on Monday about Biden — had been challenging the conviction.

His attorney, Matthew Schwartz, said he would be filing a formal response to the request from the US Attorney’s Office by Wednesday — and noted that his client would still testify as planned despite allegations the DOJ letter was an intimidation tactic.

“We are aware of speculation that the Department of Justice’s weekend request to have Mr. Archer report to prison is an attempt by the Biden administration to intimidate him in advance of his meeting with the House Oversight Committee,” Schwartz said in a statement, per Politico.

“To be clear, Mr. Archer does not agree with that speculation,” Schwartz added. “In any case, Mr. Archer will do what he has planned to do all along, which is to show up on Monday and to honestly answer the questions that are put to him by the Congressional investigators.”

Schwartz has argued it was “premature” to pick a jail date as the 58-year-old mulls potential appeal options.

Back in 2009, Archer, Biden, and Christopher Heinz co-founded investment and advisory firm Rosemont Seneca Partners, which the first son used as a vehicle for many of his overseas business endeavors.

Archer is expected to testify that Hunter Biden would dial-in his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden during various meetings with overseas partners, as The Post exclusively reported.

This is a key development in the GOP-led inquiries of the Biden family, because it potentially ties the president to his son’s business affairs.

President Biden has previously said, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

The White House now says the president “was never in business with his son,” an apparent shift in verbiage downplayed by press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

For months, Biden administration officials have pummeled Republicans over their probe of the first family’s business dealings and have sought to drive home the notion that the president hasn’t been directly implicated.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Suggests Gassing Green Agenda Opponents

A Liberal Democrat politician has come under fire for reportedly implying that a group of campaigners against the green agenda ULEZ car tax should be gassed with poisonous carbon monoxide.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Liberal Democrat councillor Michael Tarling, who represents Christchurch in Dorset, England, responded to a picture on Twitter of a church hall where an anti-Ultra Low Emissions Zone meeting was set to take place in Edinburg by saying that he would “happily fill the room with carbon monoxide”.

It comes amid a broader debate in Britain surrounding the imposition of green agenda taxes on cars in cities and towns throughout the country, with the programme being spearheaded by far-left London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Despite the unpopularity of the scheme, Khan is set to expand ULEZ to the entirety of London, and thereby charge thousands of working-class people £12.50 per day to drive to work in the capital.

The left-wing Liberal Democrat party decided not to suspend the councillor for his reprehensible comments, saying that he will instead attend an “awareness training” class.

A Lib Dem spokesman said: “Michael has apologised for his comments and has agreed to take on the appropriate awareness training.”

While the party refused to suspend Tarling, Twitter has suspended his account for violating its rules, which prohibit calls to violence.

Tarling, who is described in his official biography as having “a keen interest in the environment and sciences” was reportedly a central figure in passing plans to cut the speed limit to just 20 miles per hour throughout Christchurch.

Trump says Mar-a-Lago security tapes were not deleted, were voluntarily given to prosecutors

Former President Donald Trump said on Sunday he did not delete the Mar-a-Lago security tapes, even as he faces new charges of allegedly conspiring to delete the footage, which he said he handed over to prosecutors.

"MAR-A-LAGO SECURITY TAPES WERE NOT DELETED. THEY WERE VOLUNTARILY HANDED OVER TO THE THUGS, HEADED UP BY DERANGED JACK SMITH," Trump posted on Truth Social in all capital letters. "WE DID NOT EVEN GO TO COURT TO STOP THEM FROM GETTING THESE TAPES. I NEVER TOLD ANYBODY TO DELETE THEM."

The new charges brought against Trump on Thursday came in addition to the 37 federal counts related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents. The former president pleaded not guilty to all 37 original charges.

Russia Does Not Want Clash With U.S. In Syria: Putin

Russia is ready for any scenario, but does not want a direct military clash with the United States, the country’s President Vladimir Putin told reporters on July 29.

“We are always ready for any scenario, but no one wants this, and on the initiative of the American side we once created a special mechanism to prevent these conflicts. Our heads of certain departments communicate directly with each other, have the opportunity to consult on any crisis situation. This shows that no one wants clashes,” Putin said.

The Russian president was answering a question about recent provocations by the U.S.-led coalition in Syria.

Since the start of this year, the aviation of the coalition has made 23 dangerous approaches to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the skies over Syria, while drones have violated flight safety in the country 340 times, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry’s Center for Reconciliation in Syria said on July 28 that a U.S. An MQ-9 drone had made a dangerous approach towards a Russian Su-34 fighter bomber over the country.

The U.S.-led coalition, who operates in Syria without the approval of the government, does not acknowledge these incidents and claims that Russia is the side violating flight safety protocols over the country.

Earlier this week, the Pentagon alleged that a Russian fighter jet hit the U.S. drone with a flare and “severely” damaged its propeller over Syria and the White House said that another fighter jet flew “dangerously close” to a second drone.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on July 29 called on Russia to abide by the laws of the sky and cease “irresponsible behavior”.

“We call upon the Russian leadership to make sure that they issue guidance to their troops to abide by the laws of the sky and make sure that they cease this irresponsible behavior,” Austin said, when asked about the recent incidents in a news conference in Brisbane, Australia.

“We’ll continue to engage using the established channels to convey our concern and we’ll continue to engage senior leadership as appropriate. But, again, we will continue to operate, as we have always operated in the airspaces, and we will protect our interests and our resources,” he added.

A military confrontation between U.S. and Russian forces in Syria remains highly unlikely as both sides recognize the risks of such an escalation. However, the coalition’s uncoordinated operations over the country could eventually lead to a serious incident.
