A tough thing to do.
Be sure to include exercise in you day. The best and cheapest? walking, speed walking and jogging/running. Healthy body healthy mind is true. The body gives you a reward after your effort by pumping out it's own drugs. Also caffeine is a mood lifter and then there is CBD, if you have stress, pain or anxiety. It does nothing to alter your thinking other than to take away those symptoms. I had a bad case of PTSD last year and into this year. CBD got me th rough it, until I rarely use it and most episodes are gone or handled without it. Non-addictive and has healthy components to it as well.
One other thing, once winning against depression, you know know how to fight back.
