>The best information is human contact

Where does this happen? Most people I come into contact with are most concerned with their vacation plans and 401k's, nothing deeper. And when I prod for deeper, they just get mad or act surprised or change the subject. They live by the "I'm only asking about your weekend so I can brag/bitch about mine" mentality…not sure that's particularly useful to anybody. Internet is literally the only place I find differing perspectives, assuming they're not bot-driven of course. Though people irl can be just as bot-like…which is my tl;dr, I guess kek.

Same. Used to wonder what it was before I was totally awake. The 90s seem like a dream now. 9/11 definitely started off the most noticeable change in people overall for me…in concert with Facebook for sure. Remember all the poundings I took from assholes when I said I wasn't interested in having one. So things were pretty much already fucked when Hussein took over. His shit reign just compounded and cemented it. Old /pol/lack is still very grateful to this place, no matter how exhausting at times kek.

Oh, that reminds me of something I read lurking on Reddit. Libtards were arguing that self-styled Moderates are really just Conservatives in disguise and should be shunned. Other libtards pushed back, however, explaining that Moderates are really just poors and stupids who don't have the luxury of forming nuanced political opinions. Literally used your turn of phrase too…don't have the luxury. Funny. That's Slave Brain if true.
