Hadn't thought of it that way, but that makes a lot of sense.
And, now that I'm on that line of thought, I bet he's a Triple Crosser.
The first "cross" was playing the Globalist game, getting rich on their agendas (Solar, EV, Space, etc), to gain acceptance as a friend of the globalists. While at the same time showing that even with the best tech available, these agendas are still truly unviable.

The "double-cross" is turning on the globalists with the destruction of Twitter using some of Alwaleed's money to do so, which has blinded many Anons and Patriots to accept Elon as a political friend.

And the "triple-cross" looks to be shaping up to be the Everything App, which could very likely be a tool of control like China's WeChat to facilitate a social credit system and tracking, as many anon's have warned.
