Federal officials announced on Tuesday that the FBI found 200 victims of sex trafficking and arrested 126 suspects of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking offenses and another 68 suspects of trafficking during a two-week child exploitation operation in July, known as “Operation Cross County.”
Over the two-week operation in July, the FBI and its partners identified 59 minor victims of child sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation offenses. They also located 59 actively missing children.
“Sex traffickers exploit and endanger some of the most vulnerable members of our society and cause their victims unimaginable harm,” Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement.
He applauded the significant efforts of the FBI and its partners in locating actively missing children and arresting those accountable for such heinous crimes.
“This operation, which located 59 actively missing children, builds on the tremendous work the FBI has undertaken over many years to rescue minor victims and arrest those responsible for these unspeakable crimes. We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners across the country to prevent human trafficking; increase detection, investigation, and prosecution of human trafficking crimes; and expand support and services to protect and empower survivors,” Garland added.
The nationwide initiative, led by the FBI in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), primarily focused on identifying and locating victims of sex trafficking and investigating and apprehending those involved in child sex and human trafficking.
“Human traffickers’ prey on the most vulnerable members of our society, and their crimes scar victims – many of them children – for life. The FBI’s commitment to combatting this threat will never waver, and we will continue to send our message that these atrocities will not be tolerated,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Former President Donald Trump says he could face a combined total of 561 years in prison from the left’s witch hunts.
On Tuesday, Trump was indicted on four counts —Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding, Obstruction and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding, and Conspiracy Against Rights.
“The purpose of the conspiracy was to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election by using knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the government function by which those results are collected, counted and certified,” the indictment from special counsel Jack Smith’s office said.
“Shortly after election day, the Defendant also pursued unlawful means of discounting legitimate votes and subverting the election results,” the indictment claims.
In an email to supporters after the indictment was made public, Trump wrote, “With Crooked Joe’s corrupt DOJ having unlawfully INDICTED yours truly yet again, reports indicate that I could now face a combined 561 YEARS in prison from the Left’s witch hunts. 6 LIFETIMES…”
“There’s only ONE MESSAGE someone can send by trying to throw you in jail for 6 lifetimes, and that’s FEAR,” the email continued. “The fear that if you vote for the ONLY candidate who puts you FIRST, you too could be harassed, indicted, and even ARRESTED by the current Marxist regime in Washington.”
The email continued, “Because these endless witch hunts and indictments aren’t really about me, they’re about YOU having a voice in your own country. I’m just standing in the Left’s way – and I always will.”
“Rest assured, Patriot, if there’s ONE thing I’m willing to risk my freedom for, it’s YOUR FREEDOM,” Trump wrote. “But while the Democrats continue to send America barreling towards tyranny, I ask that YOU peacefully stand with me during these dark times – as one UNITED Republican Party – and PROVE that we will NEVER SURRENDER the country we hold so dear.”
Trump asked for people to donate, but urged those who are struggling not to do so.

Using NATO doctrine, Kiev’s forces charged through minefields under heavy fire
The Ukrainian military is abandoning the battle tactics of its Western trainers and returning to a strategy of longer-range stand-offs against Russian forces, the New York Times reported on Wednesday. However, it remains unclear whether Kiev has enough ammunition to sustain such a plan.
Since it began in early June, Ukraine’s ongoing counteroffensive has been acknowledged by officials in Washington and Kiev as disappointingly slow at best, and a failure at worst. Attacking through Russian minefields without air support, Ukraine’s Western-supplied tanks and armored vehicles have been picked off by Russian aviation and artillery, and Moscow estimates that the offensive has cost Kiev at least 30,000 men.
At the forefront of the offensive were Ukraine’s nine NATO-trained brigades, one of which – the 47th Mechanized Brigade – reportedly lost 30% of its American-made Bradley Infantry Fighting vehicles in two weeks.
