A New Hampshire woman and her child were kidnapped while working for a Christian nonprofit in Haiti — the country that has been the woman’s home for years. Alix Dorsainvil and her daughter were kidnapped Thursday morning from El Roi Haiti Outreach International’s campus near Port au Prince while serving in their community ministry, the nonprofit’s website states. She has been a nurse for the school, according to a video on the website. But she also provides services for the community.

An LGBTQ activist organization granted more than 70 public and charter schools both in the U.S. and Canada $10,000 each to promote gender ideology and support “Gender Sexuality Alliance” clubs, according to the group’s website.

Some schools are spending their funds to put more LGBTQ books in libraries and create gender-transition closets.

The Arts and College Preparatory Academy, a charter middle and high school in Ohio, is using the $10,000 grant from the “It Gets Better Project” to create a “Queer Student Union” to host events about queer history and pride, the website shows. In Louisiana, Benjamin Franklin High School is spending its grant to create a “QCenter” which will encourage “queer joy and uplift LGBTQ+ students.”
