It's just a blanket assertion 'The Gospels overemphasized', without any direct reference to any scripture of exactly what was 'overemphasized', nor is there any reference material of a 'higher truth' source that describes a 'not overemphasized' set of historical facts that would show the Bible scripture to have 'over-emphasized'.

Surely jpost.com can do better than to just smear and slander Jamie Foxx as eliciting 'anti-semitic tropes', which is ITSELF a VERY common 'trope' we see from itchy trigger finger accusers who seem to be more than willing to associate Jamie Foxx with psychopathic genocidal dictators and hate groups for retweeting A NON-ANTI-SEMITICQUESTION.

The opinion writer didn't actually disprove the Gospels account of Jesus FIRST being kidnapped and tried in a Sanhedrin (Jewish judicial body) show trial, smeared and slandered with hateful 'tropes' of being a heretic, sorcery and all kinds of vile crap.

Then He was TORTURED in the private house of Caiaphas.

Then after being put through that, because his captors knew they didn't have the legal authority to kill anyone, they took Him to where He could be killed.

He was trafficked to the Roman authorities, where the same "small group of Jewish Priests and other groups" asked for Jesus to be found guilty of a crime punishable by execution.

Now yes, the Roman Pontius Pilate was the "killer" as he ordered the crucifixion, but it would be HIGHLY DECEPTIVE to smear and slander anyone as 'anti-semitic' for merely REFERENCING the Gospel's account of how Jesus even ended up in the Roman show trial in the first place and be accused of treason punishable by death.

NO JEW ALIVE TODAY IS GUILTY WHATSOEVER for Jesus' killing, so it makes no sense for why anyone at jpost.com to UNDER-emphasize Jewish involvement in Jesus' killing.
