It's that you grew up in better times and can still remember the glory of what once was.

It's like growing up on a space station where the future is bright and everyone believes anything is possible, then having to relocate to mogadishu.

The cognitive dissonance is from knowing what is right and being forced to live in a way which destroys the human spirit.

You are loved and appreciated anon, you're not fighting alone. Other good people are suffering right beside you.

Anon, respectfully, this started under Bush Sr. in earnest. The position we find ourselves in currently is the culmination of decades of hard work by people who didn't have our best interests at heart.

Some quick highlights of our own government selling us out and their effects:

North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) - Began destruction of middle class by allowing manufacturing to relocate outside of the US into traditionally less expensive nations. Ford literally owned land in Mexico waiting for it to be passed.

Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) - again goal to destroy middle class by forcing remaining manufacturing positions to compete with near-slave wages being paid in other countries.

Trade Agreements with China - This one was the final nail, because the US had previously refused to trade with communist nations. This intentionally transferred unbelievable wealth and power to China while robbing us of our own resources. Manufacturing in the US now has to compete with literal slave wages, thus finalizing the death of the working middle class.

Unsecured border - Now that the manufacturing middle class has been put on the ropes, it's time to start importing cheap labor to stifle and destroy wages in the skilled trades. It's also meant to reduce the quality of skilled labor in the country.

H1-B visas - now that lower and middle "middle class" have effectively been shut out of upward social mobility let's start importing "skilled" trades from the rest of the world so we can further erode salaries in high tech, medicine, and more.

What comes next? - Complete societal replacement. One way or the other, the US we knew has been dead for quite some time. It really comes down to what happens in the next couple years.

"Better" is based entirely on where one is in the power structure. Everyone in government, LEO, and the judicial system live quite well in the system we have currently. It's only the civilians who are really getting the raw end of the deal right now. Those who perpetuate the system of control are taken care of.

It's not the <insert description of those coming here illegally>. It's that we are offering free stuff that is so valuable that people are willing to risk it all to make it here.

Imagine the draw of "come here illegally, have kids, you'll get free food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and a safer society than what you left.

Anon believes many would risk their lives to obtain a guaranteed "retirement" at a very young age that is better than what one might achieve through a lifetime of hard work in their home country.

We are already fighting a war. WW3 is well in swing, we're just being kept in the dark. Wonder why all those trains keep derailing or why there's all these weird occurrences?

Yepโ€ฆ other countries are starting to take a page from the US playbook and we are getting our asses kicked.

Could be Russia, could be China, could also be elements from our own government or something else altogether.

Heck, at this point, it could be the sum collective of all of humanity that hasn't capitulated to sick and perverted systems of justice.

Then they wouldn't have product to consume.

Big tech and the military / LEO are the transport mechanism for much of the "product". Politicians, judges and lawyers are consumers.

Understand that there is no help coming.
