Biden Promises Aid for ‘Climate Migrants’ in Weather Channel Interview

The Weather Channel is promoting the open-ended claim migrants should be allowed to enter the United States if their homelands are damaged by “extreme weather” — and President Joe Biden is eager to say yes.

“Is it the responsibility of the United States to protect migrants who might be fleeing extreme weather in their countries?” meteorologist Stephanie Abrams asked Biden during a very rare and softball interview beside the Grand Canyon.

Biden replied in the August 9 broadcast:

Look, I think the United States should do everything it can to help people who are in desperate need and have no other means of help. And we’ve always done that. It is just who we are. We’re the United States of America … for example, one of the things we’re doing is we’re providing for changing the environment, the physical structures, inthe countries which they come from.

Biden then drifted away from the topic, saying “We’re replacing every single lead pipe in America.”

Business groups want to import poor people into the United States and Europe to serve as consumers, renters, and cheap workers.

One claim is “climate refugees” are being created by climate change, and should be allowed to move into Americans’ society instead of developing their own countries.

“There could be 1.2 billion climate refugees by 2050,” the Swiss-based Zurich Insurance Group Ltd claimed in June 2023:

According to UNHCR, the UN’s refugee agency, an annual average of 21.5 million people were forcibly displaced each year by weather-related events – such as floods, storms, wildfires and extreme temperatures – between 2008 and 2016. This climate migration is expected to surge in coming decades with forecasts from international thinktank the IEP predicting that 1.2 billion people could be displaced globally by 2050 due to climate change and natural disasters.

Business groups also want more migrants because it is easier and safer for them to import poor people than to invest in developing countries. Breitbart News reported in November 2021:

Throughout the 1990s, economists expected investors in wealthy countries to move job-creating investments to the developing world and, thereby, raise billions of people out of poverty, Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of the GOP-linked American Action Forum, said.

However, “for any number of reasons — inability to enforce contracts, political problems — the capital [in wealthy countries] really didn’t flow that way. It stayed in these [wealthy] countries,” he said during an October 26 online talk organized by far-left public publication DemocracyJournal.org.

But economics does abhor a vacuum, and so “now the [poor] labor is coming for the capital,” via international migration, according to Holtz-Eakin, a pro-migration economist who formerly worked for Sen. John McCain and for President George W. Bush when he was pushing the open-borders “any willing worker” claim.

Biden has already imported at least 6 million migrants for economic purposes in less than three years.

That economic policy has helped investors by inflating real estate prices and reducing Americans’ wages.

Biden’s huge inflow include roughly 2 million legal migrants, 3.5 million illegal and quasi-legal migrants allowed through the southern border, roughly 1.6 million “gotaways” who sneaked over the border, plus hundreds of thousands of migrants who have refused to go home when their legal visas expire.

Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among GOP and swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

Melbourne Doctors kill unborn baby when performing sex change hysterectomy on trans-identified pregnant woman

A trans-identifying woman lost an unborn baby after undergoing a hysterectomy while unknowingly being pregnant.

Jesse Pohlner, 38, was four months pregnant when she underwent a hysterectomy at Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne during a Covid lockdown in 2021, per Daily Mail. She intended to have her womb and ovaries removed as part of her transition.

The transition was confirmed just ten days before the procedure occurred. However, Pohlner didn’t know she was in the second trimester of pregnancy, mistaking morning sickness for reflux.

Pohlner told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell that “there was no pregnancy test performed.”

“I would call it hospital negligence, their policy was to blame. The policy let my doctors down, they couldn’t perform their best work.”

The doctors involved told Pohlner that she had two options when it came to having her ovaries removed. She could have the surgery in ten days and undergo a second surgery later on, or she could start taking testosterone and postpone the surgery.

She claimed she was forced to make a quick decision over the phone, per the report. In an email from the hospital, Pohlner was apparently told that depending on her last period or if she was sexually active, she may require a pregnancy test.

“I was in Horsham, Victoria, and it was hard to get to the doctors but due to having previous children I knew that you could either have a blood test or a urine test, I said if it's a blood test I need to know, right, so I can get to the doctor's,” she said.

She was reportedly assured that the test would be done before the surgery. However, the night before the operation, a nurse used a chart to ask Pohlner a series of “yes” and “no” questions. Based on the answers provided, it was determined that a pregnancy test wasn’t required.

“We had no signs that I was pregnant. I thought I was having reflux and it turned out that it was morning sickness,” Pohlner said.

The procedure was supposed to take just three hours, but it turned into a nine-hour procedure and a one-night stay in the hospital. The following morning, she was informed that she had lost a baby during the surgery.

“It was the last thing we could think of,” she said. “It was pretty shocking news.”

“In my case, if they cancelled the surgery I would not be here.”

World Bank halts new lending to Uganda over anti-LGBTQ law

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The World Bank said on Tuesday it would halt new lending to the Ugandan government after concluding that its anti-LGBTQ law, which has been condemned by many countries and the United Nations, contradicts the bank's values.

In response, the East African country dismissed the move as unjust and hypocritical.

A World Bank team traveled to Uganda immediately after the law was enacted in May and determined that additional measures were needed to ensure projects were being implemented in line with the bank's environmental and social standards.

"No new public financing to Uganda will be presented to our Board of Executive Directors until the efficacy of the additional measures has been tested," the bank said in a statement, adding that such measures were now under discussion with Ugandan authorities.

"Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Act fundamentally contradicts the World Bank Group's values. We believe our vision to eradicate poverty on a livable planet can only succeed if it includes everyone irrespective of race, gender, or sexuality," the bank said.

No CBP Outbound Inspections: Mexican Cartels Get Ammo, Guns, Money from U.S.

While Mexican drug cartels seize unprecedented control of the southwest border, the frontline Homeland Security agency charged with safeguarding the U.S. fails to regularly conduct outbound inspections that could disrupt the Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO). The checks for traffic departing the country at ports of entry (POE) would be detrimental to the illicit operations because they prevent illegal exportation of currency, firearms, explosives, ammunition, and narcotics. Nevertheless, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) does not consistently inspect outbound traffic, according to a federal audit that reveals there is no structural outbound inspection with oversight from the agency’s Office of Field Operations (OFO).

“TCOs require a steady supply of firearms and ammunition to assert control over the territory where they operate, eliminate rival criminal organizations, and resist government operations,” says the report, released this month by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General. “Further, bulk cash smuggling remains a favored means for TCOs to repatriate their illicit funds from or move funds into the United States to support their criminal operations. TCO networks on the Southwest border smuggle narcotics into the United States, while illegally exporting currency from drug proceeds and firearms into Mexico.” Operations are not limited to the Mexican border, the DHS watchdog writes, confirming that TCO networks also use the northern border to smuggle high-potency drugs and currency both into and out of the United States.

Federal law authorizes CBP to seize illegally transported firearms, ammunition, explosives, narcotics, and currency out of the United States. Statistics provided in the report show that it is an effective way to disrupt TCO operations. For instance, between 2018 and 2022, agents seized $58 million in illegal currency and 2,306 firearms. It demonstrates the value of outbound inspections to CBP’s mission, which is to protect the American people, safeguard our borders and enhance the nation’s economic prosperity. However, agency policies do not require outbound inspections though officers at some land border crossings perform them on personal vehicles and pedestrians departing the U.S. In most locations CBP officers are not conducting outbound inspections, the DHS watchdog found, determining that the agency is “missing opportunities to stop currency, firearm, explosives, ammunition, and narcotics from reaching TCOs that perpetrate cross-border violence.”

Five Americans to return home in US-Iranian prisoner swap

President Biden has secured a $6 billion deal to free Americans in exchange for jailed Iranians.

The New York Times first reported the prisoner swap agreement Thursday. Once five Americans imprisoned in Iran are allowed to return to the United States, the Biden administration is said to have agreed to release a handful of Iranian nationals serving prison sentences for violating sanctions on Iran.

Sources told the Times the United States also agreed to unfreeze nearly $6 billion of Iran’s assets in South Korea, transferring the funds into an account in the central bank of Qatar.

The American prisoners include Siamak Namazi, Emad Sharghi and Morad Tahbaz, who the U.S. government says were all wrongfully detained on bogus spying charges. The names of the other two were being withheld by their families, but one is said to be a scientist, the other a businessman.

"We have received confirmation that Iran has released from prison five Americans who were unjustly detained and has placed them on house arrest," National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement. "While this is an encouraging step, these U.S. citizens - Siamak Namazi, Morad Tahbaz, Emad Shargi, and two Americans who at this time wish to remain private - should have never been detained in the first place."

"We will continue to monitor their condition as closely as possible. Of course, we will not rest until they are all back home in the United States," the statement added. "Until that time, negotiations for their eventual release remain ongoing and are delicate. We will, therefore, have little in the way of details to provide about the state of their house arrest or about our efforts to secure their freedom."

"We are relieved to learn that Iranian authorities have released five U.S. citizens Siamak Namazi, Morad Tahbaz, Emad Sharghi, and two individuals who at this time wish to remain private from prison to house arrest," State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller also said in a statement. "We are in touch with the families of U.S. citizens involved, and we continue to monitor these individuals’ health and welfare closely. Ex-U.N. official Ritter convicted in underage Internet sex sting

A Pennsylvania jury on Thursday found former high-ranking United Nations official Scott Ritter guilty in an Internet underage sex sting.

Prosecutors accused Ritter, 49, of Delmar, New York, a suburb of Albany, of engaging in a lurid web chat with a person portrayed as a 15-year-old girl. That person was actually a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department in Pennsylvania.

Ritter was the chief weapons inspector in Iraq until he resigned in 1998 because he said he felt neither the Clinton administration nor the United Nations was pursuing Iraq weapons inspections vigorously enough. Later, in 2002, he had a falling out with the Bush administration over the war in Iraq.

The jury deliberated two days before finding Ritter guilty of six of the seven charges against him. One was a misdemeanor, indecent exposure, and the rest were felonies, including three charges of unlawful conduct with a minor, criminal attempt to corrupt a minor and criminal use of a communications device.

Each of the five felony charges carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison. No sentencing date was set and Ritter remains free on $25,000 bail.

Assistant district attorney Michael Rakaczewski said Ritter was convicted “by his own actions and by his own words on the stand.”

At one point during the trial, the jury watched a graphic video recording of a nude Ritter performing a sexual act captured on his computer web camera for young “Emily.”

Posing as “Emily,” Detective Ryan Venneman twice gave her age as 15. The chat and video occurred in February of 2009.

Ritter testified at the trial and part of his defense was that he did not believe he was really talking to a 15-year-old, but instead an adult pretending to be a minor.

Ritter’s wife, who testified in his defense, and twin daughters, Victoria and Patricia, 18, attended the trial at Monroe County Common Pleas Court in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Clerk Meisch immediately noticed that the stacks of registrations included the same handwriting, non-existent addresses, and incorrect phone numbers.

The Muskegon Police Department was contacted and asked to investigate. On 10/21/20 First Lieutenant Mike Anderson was contacted by Tom Fabus, Chief of Investigations for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s Office. According to the MI State Police report, Fabus asked for Michigan State Police assistance with a joint investigation of alleged voter fraud being conducted by the Muskegon Police Department and the AG.

An investigative task force was formed, and an investigation was initiated.

Planned Parenthood and ACLU Fighting AGAINST California Banning Child Marriages

Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union are among several leftist organizations fighting against California’s proposed ban on child marriages.

California and Mississippi are currently the only states in the nation with no minimum age requirement for marriage. The legislature will introduce a new attempt to limit marriage to people over 18 next year.

“In California, the age of sexual consent is 18 without exception, and anyone over that age engaging in intercourse with a minor can be charged with statutory rape,” the Los Angeles Times reports. “But the state’s definition of unlawful sexual activity between an adult and a minor applies only if they are not married. That creates what some advocates see as a loophole in which the act of marriage can sanction what would otherwise be a crime.”

Planned Parenthood claims that the law could create a “slippery slope” that would make it easier to ban or limit abortions for minors.

“Among their concerns is that a total ban on marriage of minors could be a slippery slope and impede constitutional rights or reproductive choices, including access to abortion,” the Los Angeles Times reports.

The ACLU claims banning child marriage “unnecessarily and unduly intrudes on the fundamental right of marriage without sufficient cause.”

“‘That pretty much made it clear I was not going to be able to do this,’ former Democratic state Sen. Jerry Hill, who attempted to ban underage marriage in 2017, said of the unexpected opposition from the influential groups,” according to the report.

Hill said the pushback from progressive organizations was “the big shock of my life.” He had taken up the fight after hearing about a 13-year-old California girl who was scheduled to be in an arranged marriage with a 28-year-old man from another country.

“I was amazed and appalled and frankly ashamed of California, that we had not done anything about this,” he told the Times.

Last month, dozens of survivors of child marriage traveled to the state Capitol to call for a ban on the practice, dressed in wedding gowns, chains around their wrists, and with their mouths duct-taped shut.

A spokesperson for the ACLU told the Times that their position on the issue has not changed.

Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California spokesperson Jennifer Wonnacott told the paper that the organization “strongly supports protecting youth from abuse of all kinds” but that protections against exploitation should “not impede on the reproductive rights of minors and their ability to decide what is best for them, their health and their lives.”

In July, it was revealed that most of those funds, $47 million, would be used to pay for a national staffing firm that provides personnel at shelters receiving illegals arriving in the city.

And yet, despite pouring millions of taxpayer dollars into the crisis, Chicago residents remain concerned about the decisions city officials are making on how to allocate those resources. Residents of the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago are not happy with what is happening in their community and claim they are harassed by illegals crime is rising in the area.

The city of is so overwhelmed, migrants have been housed in police stations.

Now, CBS 2 reveals that, despite filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in February requesting how the city has spent more than $100 million to care for new migrants, the Chicago Office of Budget & Management has denied the request for transperancy.

CBS 2 reports:

At an April City Council hearing, Adl. Ariel Reboyras (30th) testified, “One of the estimates I’m seeing is we average about $7,000 a month for each migrant seeking asylum.”

CBS 2 has been trying to get what should be public spending records from the city to see what companies and organizations are being paid and how much they are getting paid for various services. Is each new arrival really getting $7,000 worth of care every month?

In February, CBS 2 filed a request for records under FOIA with the city’s Office of Budget & Management. FOIA requires the city to turn over public records. After months of delay, the city denied the request saying there were no records.

Most World Leaders Earn Poor Approval Scores In 2023

Out of the 22 world leaders included in a release by Morning Consult, only six can currently claim positive net approval ratings - meaning that more people in their country approve of them than disapprove.

Statista's Katharina Buchholz reports that the exceptions are Prime Ministers Narendra Modi, Anthony Albanese and Giorgia Meloni of India, Australia and Italy, respectively, as well as the presidents of Mexico, Switzerland and Brazil, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Alain Berset and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

As the COVID-19 crisis dragged on in 2020 and 2021, world leaders' approval ratings mostly decreased or stagnated at low levels.

As global crises deepened with Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, they have not yet recovered for most countries.

French President Emmanuel Macron's score was among the worst in the ranking as protest in France about the raising of the retirement age quelled even more discontent.

Other politicians faring very poorly were Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl.

Top Dem's Family Sold BlackRock Stock Weeks Before His Committee Announced Investigation

Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California reported selling large quantities of BlackRock shares weeks before the committee he sits on announced a probe into the company.

According to disclosure forms reported by the Daily Caller, trusts linked to both his children and wife sold BlackRock stocks totaling between $32,000 and $130,000 between March and June 2023.

Khanna sits on the Congressional Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, which notified the financial giant in early August that it was under investigation over its ties to more than 60 Chinese companies identified over human rights violations or national security concerns, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Trusts linked to Rep. Khanna sold between $1,000 and $15,000 of BlackRock shares on both March 14 and March 24. Further separate amounts between $15,000 and $50,000 of BlackRock securities were sold on June 26 and June 29 by trusts linked to Rep Khanna. -Daily Caller

While BlackRock has recently come under fire for its economic ties with the Chinese government and its domestic focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing (that it doesn't pressure China to pursue), the letters released by the Select Committee focus on BlackRock's inclusion of several "red flag list" companies in its indexes, including a DoD list of Chinese companies operating on American soil which have ties to the Chinese military.

In 2022, Khanna came under fire for filing "comically illegible" stock trade disclosures. In 2021, the Silicon Valley congressman reported trades totaling $52 million in securities.

According to a spokesperson for Khanna, the lawmaker "does not own or sell any individual stocks including Blackrock and MSCI," adding that "Rep. Khanna’s wife has assets prior to marriage in a diversified trust managed by an independent third party."

The rep also claimed that Khanna "had no advance knowledge or role about the Select Committee’s investigation until he read about it in the press."
