Recycling plant fire closes parts of Grand Avenue in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A massive fire has closed parts of Grand Avenue in both directions in Glendale, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The closure is between 59th and Glendale avenues, and 67th and Northern avenues, according to ADOT.

ADOT is advising drivers to expect delays and seek an alternate route.

The Glendale Fire Department tweeted out a video of the massive blaze. In the tweet, the fire was described as being a second-alarm hazmat fire.
