Navy Chief Retires, Leaves Third Military Branch Without Confirmed Leader Amid Tuberville Abortion Hold

The U.S. Navy is now the third military service without a Senate-confirmed chief of staff as an impasse over the military's abortion policies continues to delay the confirmation process.

On Monday, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday retired from the service, stepping down from his role as the top officer for the service. With Adm. Gilday's retirement, the Navy has one more opening to be filled.

Last month, President Joe Biden nominated Adm. Lisa Franchetti to replace Adm. Gilday as the Chief of Naval Operations. Adm. Franchetti took over for Adm. Gilday on Monday, but only in an acting capacity. If confirmed, she would be the first woman to serve as Chief of Naval Operations and the first woman to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

It's unclear when Adm. Franchetti's nomination may come to a vote. The Senate typically confirms military nominations in large batches through unanimous consent procedures, but Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) has placed a hold on the process, preventing nominations from proceeding in such a way.

For months, Mr. Tuberville has kept up the hold in protest of a Department of Defense (DOD) policy that funds travel and leave for military service members who want to get an abortion.

Current federal laws codified under the Hyde Amendment prohibit federal funds from going toward abortions, except in cases where a pregnancy threatens the life of the mother or a pregnancy comes about as a result of rape or incest. The DOD contends that its policy of supporting abortion-related travel is distinct enough to skirt the Hyde Amendment rules, but Mr. Tuberville insists otherwise and has vowed to maintain his hold until the DOD retracts the policy or Congress acts to change the laws.

While Mr. Tuberville's hold on the nomination process prevents large-batch confirmations of military nominees, the Senate can still confirm nominees through its normal procedural rules, but this makes for a slower process. โ€ฆ

Inversionism

I just found a gnarly declassified document in my archives about techniques and tactics that are highly relevant to what just happened in Mauiโ€ฆ

Forest Fire as a Military Weapon - 1970 report commissioned by the DoD - ARPA - US Dept of Agriculture Forest Service.

https://docdroid.net/LcvWn7p/ad0509724-pdf >>19359461

"In 1965 the Joint Chiefs of Staff requested that the Secretary of Defense initiate research to determine the feasibility of measuring the flammability characteristics of forests and jungle growth, modifying flammability so that vegetation would readily support combustion and developing measures to destroy large areas of forest or jungle growth by fire. This research has been conducted by the Forest Service of the Department of Agriculture, under sponsorship of the Advanced Research Projects Agency through ARPA Order 818. The primary research attention was given to the flammability characteristics of jungle growth in tropical and monsoonal climates where forest fires seldom occur naturally."

Image 2 is very related in regards to Firestorms, using surface winds to fan fires and increase the burning rate substantially.

So they can set the fire with bad actors on ground torching vegetation or dry grass or exploding fuel sources, or they do it from the sky with directed energy weapons targeting multiple areas. This doc says that multiple fire sources surrounding the target with high winds is most effective at wiping out an entire area very quickly. Remember the circle of fire people saw in the images?

They then can use the various geoengineering techniques to blast the land with a dry hurricane and high speed winds to turn a series of small brush fires into a raging firestorm that obliterates everything extremely quickly.

Image 3 discusses incendiary devices, and image 4 discusses how "crucial" weather is in the success of forest burning.

So wild.

At some point we all need to take a step back and think about why these things are being studied to such a degree. This is what war and endless military expenditures really lead toโ€ฆ. a race to the bottom where the leading world powers are decided by whichever country or military force can be more brutal, more sadistic, more cunning, and just plain evil and malicious.

The language and tone of these documents is always so cold, calculating, and inhuman.

Abstract: In this report, primary research attention has been given to the flammability characteristics of jungle growth in tropical and monsoonal climates where forest fires seldom occur naturally. Major consideration has been given to developing operational guidelines that utilize input data readily available to military commanders under field conditions. The following conclusions are directly pertinent to the JCS request 1 forest flammability depends on the amount of dead vegetation on or near the ground surface, the moisture content of this ground level material, and the weather at the time of burning 2 forest flammability can be greatly increased by killing all shrub vegetation, selecting optimum weather conditions for burning, and igniting fires in a preselected pattern and 3 removal of overhead tree canopy requires the initiation of high intensity crown fires. In many climates, crown fires are unlikely to be achieved by any environmental modification technique. However, significant military damage can be produced by forest fires of lesser intensity.
