Do anons recall the book "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti? I read it several months ago and it seems to portray what is going on right now incredibly well.

This is how Wikipedia "recommends" the book:

Don't you think without those 500 million guns present things worse would have been done? However, those who live by the sword die by it. A government that uses natural weapons to survive will eventually put itself under. Why waste the ammo?

Amish look better than anyone else at the moment and they are of a pacifist tradition. Maybe there is something powerful about listening to God instead of running around guns blazing?
