Online content creator Jessica Palmadessa took to the privileged streets of Beverly Hills to ask teens how much they believed the average American earns, and the answers have many believing rich people “think the rest of us are rich.” Palmadessa, who can often be seen on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, stopping people and asking them a variety of questions, asked several teens in California’s infamous 90210 zip code, “How much do you think the average American makes a year?” “Like 200K?” replied one young girl, as her friend guessed “100K?” Ads by “Okay, so the number is actually 56 thousand,” Palmadessa informed them. Their looks of shock and horror, posted to Instagram, were priceless.

The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is now at its highest level in over 20 years, Freddie Mac reported Thursday. Freddie Mac's latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey shows that the average rate for the benchmark 30-year fixed note hit 7.09% this week for the first time since 2002, topping 7% for the first time since last November after rising from 6.96% the week before. New polling suggests that House Republicans' aggressive investigations into the Biden family business dealings and the imploding of Hunter Biden's plea deal are seeping into the American psyche: more believe the president's son is a criminal than ever before.
