Report: ‘Big Short’ Investor Michael Burry Bets $1.6 Billion on Stock Market Crash

Michael Burry, the investor who predicted the 2008 housing crash and was the subject of the “Big Short” movie, has bet more than $1.6 billion on a Wall Street crash. Burry is using more than 90% of his portfolio to bet on a market downturn, according to filings. Warren Buffett has been selling rather than buying. Economics professor Steve Hanke said, “The money supply is fuel for the economy, and it has been contracting over the last year. Now, the rate of contraction is -3.6%/yr., something we have not seen since 1938. Following significant changes in the money supply, the economy changes course with a lag of 6-18 months. At present, the economy is running on fumes and a 2024 recession is inevitable.”

In July, President Joe Biden’s Department of Housing and Urban Development announced its investment of $3 billion into Housing First programs across the country.

San Francisco: Workers Warned to Stay Away from Nancy Pelosi Building amid Rampant Crime

Conditions in downtown San Francisco have deteriorated so badly that employees at a federal government building that bears the name of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been advised to work from home to avoid drug addicts and criminals in the outdoor open air drug market. A number of federal agencies are housed in the building, including the US Department of Health and Human Services, the US Department of Transportation, the US Department of Labor along with Pelosi’s office.

San Francisco’s decline is now being turned into a tourist attraction as a 90-minute 1.5 mile walking tour that costs $30 has sold out. The tour guide claims to be a “card-carrying City Commissioner overseeing a municipal department with an annual budget of over $500 million, and co-founder of San Francisco’s largest neighborhood association.” The tour promises to tackle a number of questions: “How can a city with a $14.6 billion annual budget be a model of urban decay? How can it spend $776.8 million per year on police and have no rule of law to show for it? How can it spend $690 million on homeless services and receive an official United Nations condemnation for its treatment of the homeless (‘cruel and inhuman’; ‘violation of multiple human rights’)?”

Pilot Flying from Miami to Chile Dies Mid-Flight. Another Pilot from India Dies in Airport Pre-Flight

Ivan Andaur, a 56-year old pilot, collapsed and died in the bathroom while flying a Boeing 787 jet with 267 people on board. A registered nurse, identified as Isadora, said she joined another nurse and two doctors in an attempt to revive the pilot after he suffered symptoms related to cardiac arrest. She claimed the improvised medical team did not have ‘necessary or sufficient supplies’ to resuscitate Andaur. The flight was diverted to Panama City. His COVID vaccine status is unknown, but many pilots were pressured and threatened to take the jab.

In a separate incident, a pilot who was scheduled to fly an IndiGo plane collapsed at a boarding gate in Nagpur airport and died while being taken to hospital. The hospital’s preliminary report indicated that he died from “sudden cardiac arrest”.
