US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Teach Students in International Law Program

Revised-March 12, 2017:

Law students from across the country will have the opportunity to learn from US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg this summer in Valletta, Malta. Justice Ginsburg will teach during the third session of the study abroad program sponsored by the Consortium for Innovative Legal Education (CILE), a collaborative effort of four independent law schools. The program will take place at the University of Malta’s Valletta campus the week of July 4.

Justice Ginsburg will provide a retrospective of prominent Supreme Court cases over the past year, conduct a question-and-answer session, and attend a reception for participating students and faculty in her honor.

“We are delighted to offer our students this exceptional opportunity,” said Dean John F. O’Brien. “Justice Ginsburg’s incomparable legal wisdom, warmth, and engaging presentation style will make this a highly memorable and cherished law school experience.”

Approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), the Malta program is one of several international legal study abroad options available to participating students through CILE, which includes New England Law | Boston, South Texas College of Law Houston, California Western School of Law, and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. The Malta program features international and comparative law courses taught by faculty members from CILE-member law schools.

Registration is open to students in good standing who have completed at least one year at any national ABA-accredited law school. Participants will receive from four to seven hours of transferable credit, depending on the sessions they choose to attend.

In the past several years, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and the late Justice Antonin G. Scalia also have taught in international study abroad programs offered through CILE-affiliated schools in Malta, England, Ireland, Chile, and the Czech Republic.

Justice Ginsburg, appointed to the US Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton in 1993, is the second female justice to sit on the High Court. She attended Harvard Law School and received her LLB from Columbia Law School. Before taking her seat on the US Supreme Court, she served as judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and professor of law at Rutgers University School of Law and Columbia Law School.

“Very few students or attorneys have the opportunity to learn from our nation’s leading jurists throughout their law school or professional careers,” said Dean O’Brien. “Through this intimate, interactive course led by Justice Ginsburg, students will learn firsthand about the analysis of our country’s most controversial cases from one of the current eight justices responsible for interpreting the laws of our land.”

Well, that's a great Q uestion for the script writers and directors. Been asking this same Q uestion from the start.

Can't wake people up, if the Guilty are still manipulating their minds with LIES.

Where is the truth? The finger pointing antics have kept us divided. Those awake are moar awake. Those asleep, are moar asleep than ever. Time for some BOOM, SHOCK, BYE!
