Another One? Boeing Dreamliner Pilot Suffers "Fatal Cardiac Arrest" Shortly After Takeoff

In late January, US Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) sent a letter to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acting Administrator Billy Nolen and Office of Aerospace Medicine Federal Air Surgeon Susan Northrup shedding light on a concerning trend of individuals in the aviation industry who experienced medical events after receiving a Covid-19 vaccine.

"What steps has FAA taken or will FAA take to investigate whether Cody Flint, Hayley Lopez, Greg Pierson, Bob Snow, Wil Wolfe, and other pilots experienced COVID-19 vaccine adverse events?" Johnson asked.

The senator wrote, "Based on data from the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database, the whistleblower reported that the total number of diseases and injuries in pilots across DoD was 265 in 2016; 252 in 2017; 164 in 2018; 223 in 2019; 2,194 in 2020; 2,861 in 2021; and 4,059 in 2022. These increases in disease and injuries in pilots across the DoD over the last three years, and particularly over the last year, raise questions as to whether FAA has seen similar increases in disease and injuries in individuals in the aviation industry."

This leaves us with the latest incident: a pilot in command of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner suffered a fatal cardiac arrest in the bathroom of a commercial flight from Miami to Chile on Monday.

"Flight LA505 (Miami - Santiago) diverted to Tocumen International Airport in Panama due to a medical emergency of one of the three members of the crew in command," according to CBS News, which obtained a statement from LATAM Airlines.

The airline continued, "Unfortunately, after landing and receiving further medical assistance, the pilot passed away."

Authorities See Nearly 800% Surge In Chinese Migrants Crossing Southern Border Illegally

Border Patrol agents recorded a roughly 800% increase in Chinese migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally, according to federal data updated Friday.

There were roughly 17,678 illegal migrant encounters of Chinese nationals between October 2022 and July, compared to 1,970 in all of fiscal year 2022, according to the data. In March, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sent a memo exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation to agency officials warning of a surge in Chinese migrants.

“The loosened COVID protocols in China have allowed Chinese nationals to flee repressive rule in China and begin their journey to the United States seeking better living conditions,” CBP’s earlier memo stated of the reasons for the looming surge.

“According to CBP, custodial interviews indicate that Chinese citizens are requesting asylum claiming religious persecution by the Chinese Government due to their Christian faith. Additionally, Chinese nationals reportedly make their own smuggling arrangements for most of their journey, only utilizing elements of smuggling networks to cross the border,” the memo stated.

Additionally, Chinese migrants often pay between $15,000 and $30,000 to smugglers to reach the U.S. where they have been found with large sums of U.S. currency, Border Patrol agents previously told the DCNF.

Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” a Gatestone Institute distinguished senior fellow, and a member of its advisory board, previously told the DCNF that there are potential national security concerns associated with the latest surge.

“When I first saw that the surge in Chinese migrants, that’s the thought that came to my mind that these are either Ministry of State Security agents or Chinese military, who are coming to this country to commit acts of sabotage against the US,” Chang said.

Major Donor-Advised Fund Manager Allegedly Blocked Anonymous Gifts To Conservative Orgs, Complaint Says

Fidelity Charitable (FC), a major donor-advised fund, allegedly blocked an account holder from sending anonymous donations to conservative non-profits that appear on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) hate group list, according to a consumer complaint obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

ADF Senior Vice President of Corporate Engagement Jeremy Tedesco told the DCNF it appears to be a “widespread Fidelity Charitable policy,” explaining that 15 donors in 13 different states have reported the same problem to ADF.

The complaint alleges anonymous donations to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Family Research Council (FRC), Center for Security Policy (CSP) and Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) were marked “awaiting information” for over a month, while donations to left-leaning groups were quickly approved.

In the complaint, Manning raised concerns that grants to the organizations — which include the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Family Research Council (FRC), Center for Security Policy (CSP) and Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) — are being withheld because they are marked as hate groups by SPLC.

ADF Senior Vice President of Corporate Engagement Jeremy Tedesco told the DCNF it appears to be a “widespread Fidelity Charitable policy,” explaining that 15 donors in 13 different states have reported the same problem to ADF. This, he said, is likely “a very small portion of the people who are actually experiencing the problem.”

“People have a right to be able to give to the causes they believe in without fear of harassment or intimidation,” Tedesco said. “We would never advocate that the SPLC, ACLU, Planned Parenthood or others get denied access to donations or that their donors get treated the same way our donors are being treated,” he continued. “Cause neutrality means cause neutrality. Everybody should have equal access to this given platform.”

Border Numbers Explode as July Migrant Apprehensions Jump 33 Percent

The apprehension of migrants along the southwest border in July jumped more than 33 percent from last month’s drop. Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 137,000 migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry. This brought the total for the year to 1.65 million migrants.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection released its July Southwest Land Border Encounters report showing a dramatic spike in apprehensions by agents between ports of entry. In July, Border Patrol agents apprehended 136,652 migrants in the nine southwest border sectors.

In June, migrant apprehensions dropped briefly to less than 100,000 for the first time since the first full month of the Biden administration. The numbers bounced right back despite the scorching July heat along the southwestern U.S. border with Mexico. July’s numbers represent a 33 percent increase over June.

The trend is continuing into August. Through the first 15 days of August, Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 83,000 migrants, according to unofficial Border Patrol reports obtained by Breitbart. Approximately 50,000 of those entered through the five Texas-based border sectors, Breitbart Texas reported.

The El Paso and Tucson Sectors remain the only southwest border sectors showing a year-over-year increase in apprehensions — 59 and 29 percent, respectively.

Of the 132,652 migrants apprehended in July, 62,446 were classified as single adults. Family units accounted for 60,161 of the apprehensions, up by more than 40 percent from last year. Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 10,000 unaccompanied minors in July.

Migrants from Mexico accounted for the largest demographic group with more than 36,000 apprehensions. Hondurans and Guatemalans followed with more than 23,000 and 21,000, respectively. Migrants from countries other than Mexico and the Central American Northern Triangle countries accounted for more than 49,000 apprehensions. This is up by more than 36 percent over last July.
