Supporters of decriminalization say the current law is so vague that a person could technically spend years in prison either for sending or receiving a naked photo.

In a move to stop police spending too much time chasing webcam girls (and sometimes allegedly extorting them) rather than finding more serious criminals, Ukrainian lawmakers are looking to decriminalize pornography.

Under current Ukrainian law, you can in theory be sent to prison for up to three years for not only importing, producing, distributing or storing porn, but even for sending or receiving nude photos.

But in a sign this may be about to change, enough members of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, have already signed on to the decriminalization proposal for it to become a draft law, which could then be voted on.

Lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak who is leading the charge for a change in the legislation has described the current rules as “nothing short of stupidity.”

“From the Soviet Union times, we inherited this norm that one can get up to eight years behind bars if this one happens to send their nudes to another person,” he told Kyiv Post.

“That is, we are not even talking about OnlyFans, but about consuming this content in general.”

While sending a nude photograph to one’s spouse may be unlikely to lead to arrest, even so, Ukrainian police apparently spend a lot of time attempting to root out pornography.

“Our colleagues from BRDO (Better Regulation Delivery Office) calculated that in 2021, law enforcement officers spent about 85,500 working hours on cases related to the distribution of porn. This is approximately a year of daily work without holidays by 41 investigators,” Zheleznyak wrote on his Telegram channel.

Swedish Rape Crisis – INSANE Court Ruling!

A man got 140 hours community service for attempting to rape a woman.

As you will know if you have read my reporting, Sweden has a rape crisis. There was a whopping 52 098 reported rapes in the last 6 years. We have one of the highest rates of rape in the entire world.

All the way back in 2013, a Swedish woman was near a museum in the city of Uddevalla when she was attacked.

Two men were standing over her. One of the men pulled down her tights to rape her. Just as the attacker was about to pull down her underwear, a Norwegian man over heard her screaming “NO NO NO”.

The Norwegian man went to investigate and found her being attacked. As he approached, the attackers left her alone and ran away.

Police got DNA samples of the attackers, but never managed to catch them – Until now 10 years later.

A 27 year old man from Afghanistan was stopped in a traffic stop when the police realized his DNA matched the person who had tried to rape the woman.

The prosecutor charged the man on the 21st of June this year, however the man had then left the country. The police began an intensive chase to find the man and bring him back to Sweden. And they were successful!

An international arrest warrant was sent out and he was brought back to stand trial in Sweden.

This Monday the 27 year old man was sentenced for attempted rape.

Now, can you guess what kind of sentence the man got? Many years in prison perhaps? No…

He got 140 hours of community service.

Yes, you read that correctly. Not even prison!

The court in Uddevalla says that the reason for such a lenient sentence is because the man claimed to only have been 17 years old at the time of the crime, and that it happened 10 years ago.

The man is from Afghanistan and does not have Swedish citizenship. He also has no job.

Guess what? The court also decided that he will be allowed to stay in Sweden. The prosecutor wanted him deported, but the court denied that request. He will be allowed to stay in Sweden and is a free man after having completed 140 hours of community service.

The court says that he arrived in Sweden as a lone child refugee, which is why he is allowed to stay.

“The crime is according to the court’s opinion not such that there is now reason to deport [the man]” the court ruling said.

To make things even worse, the woman who was attacked had been raped by another man just a few years earlier. In that case, the rapist had been deported.

So here we have a person who arrived in Sweden as a “lone child refugee”. He attempted to rape a woman, and when he finally was caught by the police, the court let him off with just a few hours of community service. He didn’t even get any prison time!

And he is allowed to stay in Sweden forever.

A 36-year-old pervert tried to initiate a sex chat with an eight-year-old girl on an online game before the child's mother took control of the app and exposed him.

Owen Taylor approached the schoolgirl - who was playing Movie Star Planet on her tablet - by claiming to be a teenager under a different username.

Taylor was actually 36 when he went on the game to send pictures of his body and become 'flirtatious', Newcastle Crown Court heard.

Claire Anderson, prosecuting, said the defendant called her 'cute' during the chats which he later tried to continue on other online sites.

On discovering the stranger's message, the girl's mother changed her daughter's profile to allow the child to keep playing under a different name, but she was later horrified to discover Taylor contacted her again days later.

The mother then pretended to be the girl so she could gather more information before later contacting the police.

Taylor, now 40, of Pendyfryn Farm, Dwygyfylchi, Wales, admitted sexual communication with a child and attempted sexual communication with a child.

In an impact statement, the girl's mother said her family's lives had been changed forever by the ordeal.

She added that she felt 'sick to the stomach' after making the discoveries on the app, which she was led to believe was safe for children that age.

Judge Timothy Gittins sentenced Taylor to eight months behind bars.

He told him: 'You targeted a website called Movie Star Planet which was clearly aimed at young children under the age of 13.

'In any event you knew that clearly she was of such a young age from her profile picture.

'You engaged with her in chats that you deliberately intended to develop not only in a sexualised conversation but also images of a sexual nature being exchanged.'

The judge said Taylor tried to 'entice her away from the app onto the more readily delete-able messaging service of Snapchat.'

The court heard the child's mum was horrified when she discovered the nature of the messages.

He added: 'You asked her to delete the chat at one point and you deleted what you had on your device, or at least attempted to.
