This is quadruple+ ungood. Most of this area is heavy timber and DRY AS FUCK. Mandatory evac are tripled overnight. I-90 has been closed for about 18 hours. Winds were supposed to calm overnight but still seem to be about 9-12mph.
Why this is bad and has so much potential to get way worse…..prevailing winds come out of the SW blowing NE. Prevailing winds will push it straight toward Spokane, WA, population 230,000. The remnants of Hurricane hillary are supposed to arrive Sunday night, potentially with some moisture but almost assuredly, higher winds. Chance of rain is like 20% which at this time of year means it evaporates before it hits the ground. All week temps have been 100F+.
