Aw, thank you so much, Anon. I'm so impressed by this wonderful Board, because it has taught me so much, and taught me to contribute (here and in the real world) more than I ever dreamed possible. This place made me fearless to challenge the very broken government, where I live, and things are finally popping.
As for the dog, oh my gosh, that was a rough one. I would post photos of her but I have a dog account on social media for a different, but since the doggy who died appears in the photos (on Twatter) I worry that people might be able to figure out who I am if I were to post that doggy's photo here.
Suffice it to say, though, that she was a very special dog, and I didn't even have her for long. She was a senior, 3-legged rescue dog when I adopted her, and she had just had a cancerous lump removed when she came to my place. She couldn't walk too well, so I lugged her aound, but it worked.
I always knew that she was living on borrowed time, but the spiral happened unexpectedly, out of the blue, and on the night that I posted I had to run out to an emergency vet (out of state) just so that we could halt her suffering.
I never expected Q to respond, or even any of you guys. It's one of the few times I've had a meltdown, in adulthood, but every human I ever loved had already died, by then, and to have that poor girl crying in pain was really rough.
Thank you for helping me through that very difficult night. You'll be glad to know that her "spot" in the house has been filled with other needy, blind, deaf, or otherwise "unadoptable" senior misfits.
We're all misfits here, but it works, and I thank this Board for keeping me going, because we're about to unleash Holy Hell on local government, here, and soon you all will know about it and be able to dig and help spread the word.
Thank you again, fren.
