looks like doppler radar, built in line of site with airports to detect sudden pressure changes that may force a plane taking off or landing to suddenly lose altitude. I've noticed the lines of radar emanating interfere with the weather radar imagery but on the ground it seems like it's actually creating streaks in the storms where it's not raining.
