SouthFront.Org Blocked By U.S.-Controlled Global Internet Supervisor

Dear Friends, the SF Team appeals to you

Through 10 years of its work, SouthFront Team has repeatedly faced blatant acts of censorship from those who seek to take down really independent media and suppress the truth.

However, on August 18, we experienced something never seen before. The domain of our website, southfront.org, was taken down (domain delegation was removed) on the international level without any advance notice and explanation.

Apparently, the removal of SouthFront from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other mainstream social media, the blocking of accounts and years-long discrimination campaign against our Team, including summoning our volunteers for interrogation by the FBI, have not achieved results expected by instigators of these censorship acts. Therefore, they have turned to desperate moves like this.

In light of this situation, SouthFront Team wants to thank to our fan club in the White House and among the globalist elites for such high recognition of our work.

We also wish to bring good news to employers of numerous offices of state and state-affiliated entities assigned to fight SouthFront. Your well-paid jobs are secure because we are not going to stop our work even in conditions of such unprecedented pressure. Unlike you, ordinary budget-suckers and turncoats, we do what we do at the bidding of our hearts.

The dogs bark, but the caravans move on.

Cybercrime: 14 arrests, thousands of illicit cyber networks disrupted in Africa operation

Networks identified linked to financial losses of more than USD 40 million

DAR ES SALAM, Tanzania – INTERPOL and AFRIPOL have coordinated an operation across 25 African countries that enabled investigators to arrest 14 suspected cybercriminals and identify 20,674 suspicious cyber networks, highlighting the surge in digital insecurity and cyber threats in the region.

The networks identified were linked to financial losses of more than USD 40 million.

The four-month Africa Cyber Surge II operation was launched in April 2023 and focused on identifying cybercriminals and compromised infrastructure. It was coordinated by INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Directorate, under the auspices of the INTERPOL Africa Cybercrime Operations desk and INTERPOL’s Support Programme for the African Union in relation to AFRIPOL (ISPA).

The operation sought to facilitate communication, provide analysis and share intelligence between countries, streamlining cooperation between African law enforcement agencies to prevent, mitigate, investigate, and disrupt cyber extorsion, phishing, business email compromise and online scams.

By leveraging actionable private sector intelligence, it underlined how cybersecurity is most effective when international law enforcement, national authorities, and private sector partners cooperate to share best practices and pro-actively combat cybercrime.

INTERPOL, AFRIPOL and private sector partners Group-IB and Uppsala Security provided on-the-ground operational support, sharing actionable intelligence leveraged throughout the operation.

Operational highlights

In Cameroon, acting on a tip-off from Côte d’Ivoire, three suspects were arrested in relation to an online scam involving the fraudulent sale of works of art worth USD 850,000.

Authorities in Nigeria arrested a suspect accused of defrauding a Gambian victim.

Police in Mauritius arrested two money mules linked to scams initiated through messaging platforms.

In Gambia, proactive measures and strong partnerships led to the take down of 185 Internet Protocols (IP) connected to malicious activities.

Two Darknet sites have been taken down following actions by Cameroonian authorities.

In Kenya, authorities took down 615 malware hosters.

Some 150 INTERPOL analytical reports providing intelligence and insight on cyber threats targeting specific countries were distributed to participating countries for investigative and disruptive actions during the operation.

Developed by INTERPOL based on information shared by partners Group-IB, Trend Micro, Kaspersky, and Coinbase, the reports contained information on:

3,786 malicious command and control servers

14,134 victim IPs linked to data stealer cases

1,415 phishing links and domains

939 scam IPs

More than 400 other malicious URLs, IPs and botnets.

These 14 American Cities Have A ‘Target’ Of Banning Meat, Dairy, And Private Vehicles By 2030

Fourteen major American cities are part of a globalist climate organization known as the “C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group,” which has an “ambitious target” by the year 2030 of “0 kg [of] meat consumption,” “0 kg [of] dairy consumption,” “3 new clothing items per person per year,” “0 private vehicles” owned, and “1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person.”

C40’s dystopian goals can be found in its “The Future of Urban Consumption in a 1.5°C World” report, which was published in 2019 and reportedly reemphasized in 2023. The organization is headed and largely funded by Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Nearly 100 cities across the world make up the organization, and its American members include Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.

Media coverage of C40 Cities’ goals has been relatively sparse. The few media personalities and news outlets who have discussed it have been heavily attacked by the corporate “fact-checkers.” In a “fact check” aimed at conservative commentator Glenn Beck, AFP Fact Check claimed that the banning of meat and dairy and limits on air travel and clothing consumption were actually “not policy recommendations.”

AFP quotes a paragraph from the original “The Future of Urban Consumption in a 1.5°C World” report, which reads, “This report does not advocate for the wholesale adoption of these more ambitious targets in C40 cities; rather, they are included to provide a set of reference points that cities, and other actors, can reflect on when considering different emission-reduction alternatives and long-term urban visions.”

But this paragraph, likely included in the report as a liability in the case of pushback, seems to directly contradict the meaning of “target,” which in this context can be defined as a “desired goal.” The target of eliminating meat, dairy, and private vehicles by 2030 is “based on a future vision of resource-efficient production and extensive changes in consumer choices,” the report notes — something its authors clearly hope to bring about. If these were not their goals, they would not have labeled them “ambitious targets.”

The “fact-checker’s” insistence that C40 Cities’ explicitly stated climate goals are somehow insincere is even more unconvincing, given that we are watching them start to unfold right now. This year, in lockstep with C40 Cities’ 2030 aims, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the city will place caps on the amount of meat and dairy served by city institutions, such as schools and prisons. Meanwhile, the U.K. has banned the sale of new gas-powered vehicles after 2030, and France has banned short-haul flights “to cut carbon emissions.”

Lawless Skies: ‘Mystery Plane’ Is Seized in Zambia With Money, Guns and Gold – Egyptian Journalist Investigates the Case – Police Promptly Arrests… the Journalist

To many, this is nothing but a local news story, without relevance to the wider world; a story that takes place in Egypt and Zambia, countries that many in the west would not be able to point out in a map.

However, this is a crazy tale that says a lot about the rampant criminality running unchecked around the world – and NOT just in Africa – and it also speaks volumes about the challenges of trying to do journalism in an environment where one doesn’t know where the state players end, and where the criminal element begins.

Al-Jazeera reported:

“When a mysterious plane was intercepted on August 14 in the Zambian capital, Lusaka, by local authorities, Karim Asaad, an investigative journalist working for an Egyptian fact-checking platform matsada2sh got to work.

What he found was a complex network of passengers on board a plane with a suspicious flight path that included recent stops in Dubai, UAE; Tel Aviv, Israel; Cairo, Egypt; and Benghazi and Tripoli, Libya.

On August 19, Egyptian authorities arrested Asaad at his home in the al-Shorouk neighbourhood in eastern Cairo.”

The authorities received information about ‘a chartered aircraft carrying dangerous goods’ at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

“The next day, DEC reportedly seized more than $5.5m stored in bags and boxes, five pistols, seven magazines and more than 100 rounds of ammunition.”

That was not all – there was also the gold. Or the fake gold. Or the ‘metal alloy’. I’ll explain.

600 bars of ‘what was initially believed to be gold’ were found. But upon ‘further inspection’, the pieces were found to be ‘mainly copper and zinc alloy’.

One is pardoned for being skeptical about the gold being ‘zinc’ once we found out that the Zambian ‘man of gold’ was arrested on board. But I get ahead of myself.

The high-speed corporate Bombardier is registered in San Marino, operated by an office in Dubai and connected to an aircraft rental service in Antwerp, Belgium.

The plane was stopped on August 14, having flown from Amman, Jordan, with an overnight stopover in Cairo.

Zambian authorities arrested 13 people in connection with the plane: six Egyptians, four Zambians, and individuals from Latvia, the Netherlands and Spain.

Besides Shadrick Kasanda, known as ‘the man of gold’ and ‘Mr Money’, who regularly published pictures and videos of himself next to large quantities of what appeared to be gold, there was another notorious passenger.

Michael Adel Botros is a 42-year-old Egyptian national residing in Qatar. He is the director of Amstone International Limited, a defence technology firm, with offices in the US, Egypt, Poland, Greece, the UAE, the United Kingdom and France.

Now, any self-respecting investigative journalist would be drooling for this story. And so was Egyptian journalist Karim Asaad.

The matsada2sh platform accused security forces of assaulting Asaad’s wife and threatening their child while detaining the journalist.

Top US General Meets with Pope to Discuss War After Dropping Cluster Bombs on Russians

Top US General Mark Milley, the man behind the disastrous surrender to the Taliban in Afghanistan, met with Red Francis on Monday to discuss war. Because Milley knows war.

General Milley wants to push forward with the War in Ukraine despite the mass death and suffering in the regime. Milley and Joe Biden decided last month to use cluster bombs, banned by over 100 countries in the international community.

This morning Pope Francis and General Milley met in audience according to the Vatican Press.

The Insider reported:

Top US military officer General Mark Milley met Pope Francis at the Vatican on Monday, discussing issues including the war in Ukraine.

The pope is “obviously very concerned about the hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed and wounded and the innocent civilian lives that have been lost”, Milley told journalists aboard a US military aircraft following the audience.

“He’s very interested in hearing my views on the state of the war and the status of the war, and the human tragedy that’s unfolded in Ukraine,” the general said.

Milley — the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff — has played a central role in efforts to provide Ukraine with assistance including military equipment and training to combat Russian troops who invaded in February 2022.

That assistance has helped Kyiv’s forces regain ground from Moscow, and Ukrainian troops are currently engaged in a counteroffensive that has run up against heavy Russian defences.

Pope Francis, who became head of the worldwide Catholic Church in 2013, calls regularly for peace in Ukraine and his peace envoy visited Moscow in June, just weeks after visiting Kyiv.

EXPOSED: How NewsGuard Profits From Censoring Independent Media For The Elites

Running an independent media outlet is tough, and there’s a company called NewsGuard that’s making it even harder. NewsGuard claims to rate online content, including from media outlets, to see how trustworthy it is. But if we take a closer look, it’s doing more than that—it’s putting pressure on news organizations.

NewsGuard started in 2018. It sends out “analysts” to review online content creators and give them ratings. The ratings appear as small badges with scores next to search results.

But there’s more to the story. NewsGuard’s real power comes from its connections with advertising agencies. These agencies guide their clients to stop giving money for ads to content creators that NewsGuard’s “analysts” don’t like. Interestingly, big corporate media that are friendly with the establishment tend to get high scores. On the other hand, independent media that question the establishment often get low scores, even if they follow good journalism practices.

Subjective Criteria

NewsGuard says it’s fair and not biased. The company’s ratings look at nine things, like who wrote the article and if it follows the usual editorial rules. But in reality, most of the rating comes from whether NewsGuard thinks the content is truthful.

The first thing they check is if the source keeps spreading lies. They also look at how responsibly the source shares news. NewsGuard says if you fail the first test, you’ll fail the second. Another thing they check is if the headlines are accurate.

ISIS are back and they are faker than ever

In just the last few days ISIS – Islamic State or ISIL or Da’esh or whatever – have hit the headlines in publications from all over the world. A strong resurgence for a narrative that’s been more than quiet for the last few years.

To do a quick recap, when last we heard from our cartoonish black-flagged head-choppers they were telling their suicide bombers to “steer clear of coronavirus-stricken Europe”.

An announcement that, pre-“pandemic”, would have been among the silliest headlines I’ve ever read…but in a post-Covid world it probably barely scrapes the top twenty.

Either way, that marked a hiatus for ISIS, an exit from the world stage as the “war on terror” made way for the “war on Covid”. In fact, a “reduction in violent terror events” was even sold as a potential plus-side of lockdowns, according to a study done by Yale.

…but now here we are. Three years on, and ISIS is back with a bang, or rather several bangs. Like a balaclava-wearing bear, they’ve emerged from their hibernation feeling grumpy.

The mainstream started laying the ground work for it back in January/February, with the aforementioned Yale study and then US politicians suddenly warning that ISIS was a “simmering powder keg” and underlining that the War on Terror is not over.

Then the US started nailing “senior ISIS leaders”, offing two in two weeks in April and a third in July. Syria got in on the act too, dropping an ISIS leader of their own.

Through the summer, ISIS “affiliates” claimed responsibility for attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uganda. These were followed with more “the war on terror is not over” messaging.

But things have really started to heat up the last few days.

On August 11th CBS reported that ISIS were behind an ambush in Syria, killing 20 Syrian soldiers.

On August 12th the Washington Post reported that ADF, an “ISIS affiliate” in the Congo apparently, was “becoming deadlier”.

On August 13th it was reported ISIS was “deploying cryptocurrency to continue its reign of terror”.

Oh the humanity!

On August 14th the Iranian government officially blamed ISIS for an alleged terror attack on a shrine in Shiraz, and TimesNow reported that an ISIS “expert bomb maker” was planning an attack in India.

And just yesterday, The Mirror warned that ISIS and al-Qaeda were “back in Afghanistan”. Meanwhile Indonesian police raided a terror-suspects home and found an ISIS flag

Colorado District Attorney Dan Rubinstein Now Claims Gold Star Mom Tina Peters is a Flight Risk

The corrupt DA in Colorado claims gold star mom Tina Peters is a flight risk.

Tina Peters is a gold-star mom and the subject of the film “Selection Code“.

“[S]ELECTION CODE follows the story of Tina Peters the County Clerk in Mesa Colorado, who made a backup of her counties Dominion Voting System server, only to stumble across evidence of manipulation in a recent local city council election…. and also the 2020 general election. Tina’s discovery ignites a chain reaction upending her life. And upending the world.”

She refused to illegally delete files from her voting machines after the 2020 Election per the request of the corrupt Soror-backed Secretary of State Jena Griswold.

After being arrested and charged with crimes for protecting her county’s election data according to the law, the corrupt local DA now requests that Tina Peters be considered a flight risk.

Indicted former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters is traveling out of state without objection from her prosecutors, but there is something they are objecting to — giving back her passport.

In a motion filed earlier this week by Peters’ new attorney, Douglas Richards, the embattled former clerk wants to have her passport given back to her so she can enroll in the TSA PreCheck program, which allows frequent fliers to get through airport security faster.

“The defendant is in the process of enrolling in TSA PreCheck and during her interview with Homeland Security was advised to present her valid passport for verification and enrollment,” Richards’ motion reads.

But in his objections to that request, 21st Judicial District Attorney Dan Rubinstein says there is no such requirement.

“TSA PreCheck is a convenience for travel, not a necessity,” Rubinstein wrote in his motion to object, filed on Thursday. “Ms. Peters has been given the privilege of travel over the past year and a half, and has done so without TSA PreCheck. Even if TSA PreCheck was a necessity, a passport to obtain that status is not a necessity.”

According to the TSA, a passport can be used to enroll in the program, but so can a valid Colorado drivers license. The required documents are a photo ID and proof of citizenship.

Rubinstein, who is the lead prosecutor in criminal charges against Peters over election tampering and other alleged crimes, said his reasoning behind requesting District Judge Matthew Barrett to reject the request is because recent indictments against former President Donald Trump, his onetime private attorney Rudy Guiliani and 17 others in Georgia have altered the landscape.

Earlier this week, prosecutors in Georgia filed numerous charges against Trump and the 18 others, most of which center on racketeering and attempting to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

That motion says Peters would only need it for less than a day to present to federal Transportation Security Administration officials on Aug. 29, and promises to return it that same day.

The Democrats are now communists.

I crashed an anti-Syria lobby meeting where they pushed for a new Caliphate and more starvation sanctions

I crashed the meeting of a lobbying front that ended the life-saving General License 2023 on Syria, and is now pushing to extend Washington’s economic war for another 8 years.

Behind closed doors, the former State Department official leading the workshop revealed the group’s ultimate goal: partitioning Syria and creating a de facto Caliphate for a rebranded Al Qaeda offshoot.

This July 30, I registered under an alias to join a workshop organized by the Syrian American Council (SAC), the leading voice of the lobby that aims to starve and destabilize Syria into submission to the West’s demands. The workshop instructed SAC members to advocate for the most recent Syria regime change bill, H.R. 3202, during those visits.

During the seminar, I was able to witness firsthand the impact of the anti-Syria lobby and understand the cynical tactics it employs to condemn the population of Syria to poverty and famine.

Most recently, the lobby successfully ended the life-saving sanctions exemption known as General License 23 (GL 23), which allowed humanitarian aid into Syria following the catastrophic earthquake that struck the country this February. The lobby succeeded in ending GL 23 by pushing a lie that workshop leaders repeated without end: “the sanctions only affect the Syrian government and not the people.”

In truth, the sanctions have done incalculable damage to the Syrian people, as the UN’s Special Rapporteur on sanctions, Alena Douhan, noted in an interview with The Grayzone in 2021. Relaying the words of a civilian she’d spoken with earlier that day, Douhan explained that “the impact of unilateral sanctions on the Syrian population can be pretty equivalent to those of the conflict itself.”

But for some, it’s still not enough. Chief among them was the man leading the workshop, Wa’el Alzayat, a Syrian American veteran of the State Department who recently authored an op-ed entitled, “Don’t lift sanctions on Syria to help earthquake victims.”

During the workshop he helped to lead, Alzayat called for Syria to be broken up into a series of “independent states,” making way for a new de facto Caliphate in the region of Idlib led by a rebranded Al Qaeda offshoot designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the US government.

A sanctions loophole saves Syrian lives

On February 6, 2023, a new layer of misery enveloped Syria when massive, back-to-back earthquakes struck the country. The natural disaster compounded the man-made calamity brought on by the Western and Gulf states that fueled the armed insurgency which ravaged Syria for over eight years.

Company behind Michigan electric vehicle battery plant registered as Chinese foreign organization

All businesses in China, including foreign ones, are required under the law to have such committees with three or more party members.

The company responsible for a controversial electric vehicle battery plant in Michigan is registered under U.S. law as a foreign entity, filings show.

While the energy company Gotion, Inc. is based out of Fremont, Calif., Foreign Agents Registration Act documents filed by the corporation earlier this year show that it "is wholly owned and controlled" by Gotion High-Tech, which is based out of Hefei, a city in eastern China.

File

Gotion FARA Registration.pdf

Michigan residents, Republicans and environmental groups have voiced opposition to Gotion's plans to build a $2.4 billion electric vehicle battery plant near Big Rapids with more than $1 billion in taxpayer support.

The Chinese parent company's governing articles state: "The Company shall set up a Party organization and carry out Party activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Communist Party of China."

Gotion's "Party Committee" will ensure the company follows the Chinese Communist Party's regulations and "lead the ideological and political work, united front work, spiritual civilization construction, enterprise culture construction, labor union, Communist Youth League and other mass work of the Company; lead the construction of Party conduct and clean government, and support the Commission for Discipline Inspection," per the articles.

All businesses in China, including foreign ones, are required under the law to have such committees with three or more party members, according to Bloomberg.

Gotion's North American Manufacturing Vice President Chuck Thelen dismissed concerns about the Chinese Communist Party's influence on the company, and he said it is "not Chinese-owned."

"The rumors that you’ve heard about us bringing communism to North America are just flat-out fear-mongering and really have nothing based in reality," he said earlier this month, according to Politico.

House Republicans Issue Subpoenas Compelling Witness Testimony on Political Interference in Hunter Biden Investigation

Republicans on the House Judiciary and House Ways and Means Committees issued subpoenas for IRS investigators and DOJ officials with knowledge of the political interference and preferential treatment in the Hunter Biden investigation.

The subpoenas were sent to the following individuals:

Michael T. Batdorf, IRS Director of Field Operations

Darrell J. Waldon, IRS Special Agent in Charge

Thomas J. Sobocinski, FBI Special Agent in Charge

Ryeshia Holley, FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge

“Today, the House Committee on the Judiciary and House Committee on Ways and Means issued subpoenas to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) investigators and Biden Administration Department of Justice (DOJ) officials present at or with direct knowledge of a meeting on October 7, 2022, in which now-Special Counsel David Weiss allegedly claimed he was prevented from bringing charges against President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, for tax crimes. The subpoenas come after the DOJ and the IRS refused to comply with multiple requests for voluntary transcribed interviews with these key witnesses.” House Republicans said.

US Attorney from Delaware Dave Weiss was assigned to investigate Hunter Biden’s crimes.

IRS whistleblowers bravely came forward and revealed the DOJ was giving Hunter Biden preferential treatment.

Recall, David Weiss signed a June 7 letter claiming he had been granted “ultimate authority” over the Hunter Biden case.

This contradicts what an IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley heard David Weiss say during one of his in-person meetings with the prosecutor.

Merrick Garland however has insisted David Weiss had full authority to bring charges against Hunter Biden.

In March Garland said under oath that Weiss had full authority to charge Hunter Biden.

“The U.S. Attorney in Delaware has been advised that he has full authority … to bring cases in other jurisdictions if he feels it’s necessary,” Garland said.

“Only after a sweetheart plea deal fell apart during a hearing before a federal judge in Delaware did AG Garland designate Mr. Weiss as Special Counsel, raising concerns that the Attorney General’s and Mr. Weiss’s statements to Congress were not truthful.” House Republicans said.

Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan released a joint statement on holding the DOJ and IRS accountable:
