Taking any major food group out of your diet can cause issues.
Moderation in all things. Including diet. Trying increasing fruit and veggies and lessening the meat and grains for a while. See how it affects you. Then, if your body seems to react reasonably, then try taking the other foods down another level or two. For me, I got rid of most of prepared foods high in sugar. Lost over 30 pounds gradually over 6 months and not doing the sugar highs and lows I used to experience. Some fruits are pretty high in natural sugars, so I have to watch my fruit intake so as not to overdo it.
Knew a guy who didn't eat anything but fruit and veggies. Skinny and he just looked horrible, got sick easily. Also had a generally rotten disposition - but he might have been a jerk before did the militant vegan thing.

Unless something major happens, most of these will not keep their funding going to stay in the race much longer.
