Nolensville TN succumbs to pressure to play media darling girl pitcher in Little League World Series…and subsequently lose 6-2.

"And what a start for the only girl, Stella Weaver, playing this year at the Little League World Series. She struck out the first batter she faced, starting a 1-2-3 first inning. She also singled sharply in her first at-bat before running into trouble on the mound in the second inning of the team's 6-2 loss to Northwest Region champ Seattle at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

Weaver stumbled in the second inning, allowing consecutive singles followed by a hit batter, loading the bases with nobody out."

Now they are in the elimination bracket.

The media has made her a darling for the past two weeks and me thinks the coach was forced into playing her.
