FFS, lasers will burn blue, it's the wavelength of the laser. Change the wavelength and it will annihilate blue. My Co2 laser has an invisible beam w/a wavelength of 10.6 µm & will burn blue w/out any problems & loves clear acrylic, wood etc. My other laser is a diode of 455 µm, the color of the beam is blue & it won't cut/etch/engrave clear things to save it's life.

I'm just irritated that someone is trying to push this narrative. Someone dropped a pdf earlier today that was next level epic regarding massive large scale magnetrons that were cavity pumped via lasers. It was over 300 pages & legit w/citations. Probably what is really being used.
Based off the PDF posted this morning, it may actually be a laser pumped microwave laser. There is a theory that light travels from point to point via capacitance. This idea isn't what was in the paper but the idea is the microwave energy would follow the laser. It's a terrible explanation but I can't sauce it because I was just a fly on the wall in a room of super nerds.
This is multiple studies combined into a 300 plus page regarding high power, large scale magnetrons & lasers. It's really interesting w/electrical schematics and citations. Ignore the name, that was so I could remember what I downloaded.
Well, at least you can define a woman.
