Anon has pushed the envelope all his life. For many years, in many ways, in many pursuits. Maybe just to find out where the line was. But murder? No way. Not going to test that one. No way. No how. Report back your findings if able.
Of course the Bible has metaphors all over the place. The parables told by Christ are also metaphors. The Gospels have been told and retold and translated and reprinted and edited and so on and so on ad nauseum. The entire Bible has. We all know the Bible has been misused by some. Used for not good purposes. Not to conflate Q into this but, think for yourself. After all, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is discernment. Is it not?
Look if you are like me, and I hope you are. Then one day something will happen in your life that you cannot explain away. And you will be forced by your own intellect to reexamine everything. You will realize there is more going on than what you previously thought. You will pray earnestly in faith because there is no other explanation. And those prayers will be answered. At that point everything changes. None of that other stuff matters anymore. Because you are praying and those prayers are being answered. If you are like me then that is basically how it will go.
