When you write in a name that ballot gets kicked into a separate pile and not run through the tabulators, they only count them if there’s a race that’s results might change if they did, according to how the fuck I don’t know. But if everyone wrote in Trumps name that would actually be the same as using paper ballots, they’d have to be counted by hand.
