Previous Politico Article mentioned a few of her donors.

Many of the GOP’s biggest donors are among those who funneled anonymous contributions to former U.N ambassador Nikki Haley’s nonprofit as she lays the groundwork for a prospective 2024 presidential bid, according to previously unreported tax documents obtained by POLITICO.

Haley’s nonprofit policy advocacy group, Stand For America, Inc., has received major donations from people including New York hedge fund manager Paul Singer, investor Stanley Druckenmiller, and Miriam Adelson and her late husband, casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, the Internal Revenue Service filings reveal.

The roster of supporters who gave undisclosed donations in 2019 also includes Suzanne Youngkin, the wife of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, himself a possible presidential contender; former Pennsylvania Senate candidate and hedge fund executive David McCormick; and Vivek and Lakshmi Garipalli, members of a New Jersey family that has donated large sums to Democrats — but which gave Haley’s organization $1 million.

The donor list also includes dozens of people who gave anonymously to Haley’s nonprofit but have not given disclosed contributions to her PAC, which was formed two years later and is required to regularly disclose the names of donors who give at least $200. Those contributors include the Garipallis and GOP megadonor Joe Ricketts.

Like other nonprofits, Stand For America files an annual tax return with the IRS. While the agency and the nonprofit must make those filings available to the public, including the amounts of contributions to the group, such nonprofits do not have to disclose the identities of their donors.

However, the organization Documented, which describes itself as a nonpartisan government watchdog that investigates money in politics, obtained an unredacted copy of Stand For America’s 2019 filings, which it then shared with POLITICO. The group did not share the original source of the filing, but it bears a stamp from the charity office of the New York state attorney general.

The disclosures provide the clearest picture yet of how a prospective 2024 presidential candidate is cultivating a secret network of high-dollar contributors as she builds a political apparatus. And the names of her donors demonstrate the deep connections Haley has formed at the top levels of the Republican Party, with some of the GOP’s biggest super PAC donors among those who gave money to fund the launch of her organization after she left the Trump administration.

Haley is among at least a dozen other would-be White House hopefuls— including former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence — who also have allied nonprofits bankrolled by donors whose identities have remained under wraps.

Henry Winkler Says “Most of the People in My Industry Don’t Have Enough” Amid Strikes

Henry Winkler took a few moments away from Saturday night’s This is About Humanity’s 5th annual fundraising soirée — which he hosted at his Los Angeles home alongside daughter Zoe Winkler Reinis — to weigh in on the ongoing writers and actors strikes.

“I have said this many times, but if it ain’t on the page, it ain’t on the stage. In New York, the playwright is supreme; here, the writer is dismissed. That’s crazy,” Winkler told The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s No. 1. No. 2, I love my job, I am very lucky. Most of the people in my industry don’t have enough. It is very important that we all make sure everybody has enough. That’s my feeling.”

“Here’s what I feel:it’s going to end. How it ends, I have no idea. But until it ends, I’m very, very fortunate,Winkler continued. In the meantime, he is staying plenty busy, noting that he has his 39th children’s book coming out soon, as well as his autobiography, Being Henry: The Fonz . . . and Beyond, which is due out on Oct.31.

The star was also recently nominated for his ninth Emmy, and fourth for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for his role as acting teacher Gene Cousineau in the final season of Barry — which he will now be waiting until January to see if he’s won, after the awards show was delayed four months due to the strikes. The Writers Guild of America has been on strike since May 2, with SAG-AFTRA joining the picket line on July13.

Arleen Sorkin, actor who inspired and originated Harley Quinn, dead at 67

Harley Quinn voice actor Arleen Sorkin has died age 67, per The Hollywood Reporter.

"Batman: The Animated Series" producer Paul Dini patterned the character on Sorkin.

She also played Calliope Jones on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives."

Arleen Sorkin, the "Days of Our Lives" actress who also first voiced Harley Quinn in "Batman: The Animated Series," has died. She was 67.

An unnamed source confirmed the death to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Rest in Peace, Arleen Sorkin, the incredibly talented original voice of Harley Quinn, who helped to create the character so many of us love. Love to her family and friends," James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, wrote on Instagram.

THR reported that Sorkin died Thursday; the cause of her death was not disclosed.

Diane Pershing, who worked with Sorkin as the voice of Poison Ivy on the iconic '90s series, wrote a message on Facebook through her friend's account that Sorkin was suffering from a long-term illness.

"I used to visit her when she was bedridden with her long term illness and I would read to her, and I loved her very very much," she said. "I hadn't seen her since I moved to Washington in January 2022, but I sent her messages and pictures of cosplayers at various Cons dressed as her, the original Harley Quinn."

A spokesperson for Christopher Lloyd, co-creator of "Modern Family" and husband to Sorkin, could not immediately be reached.

Sorkin had a recurring role as Calliope Jones in the long-running "Days of Our Lives" soap opera between 1984 and 2010.

As a voice actor, Sorkin became known for giving life to Joker's partner-in-crime and on-and-off spouse, Harley Quinn, in "Batman: The Animated Series" starting in 1992.

She would reprise that role again over the years, most recently in the Batman video games.

"Devastated to learn we've lost the brilliant Arleen Sorkin. Not just a wonderful talent, but a truly wonderful person," former costar Mark Hamill, who played the Joker in the series, wrote on X.
