I actually stop a train once that I was on, to the amazement of about two passengers that actually got it, plus the person that I was speaking to. The brakes pulsed 3 times hard and slowly let up to reduce the speed and then the final one dragged the brakes until it came to a complete stop. The conductor apologized and stated that they have unknown equipment problems but will continue at reduced speed for a short while. The force is real but the truth is, it is not controllable by evil, it was hermetically sealed from abuse and the vulgar.
