Post-millenialism….the "eschatology of hope".

I walked back my own views on pre-trib rapture a few years back after reading the text without those "glasses" on.

Many a lightbulb moment….highly recommend YT'ing some of his stuff yourself.

Fear of end times is a symptom of the Left Behind culture of the 2000's and is a far cry from the teachings of the early church.

I still think she'd benefit from Ken Gentry then fren if that's the case–tough spot to be in on your part though….

This is a pretty concise excerpt on his stance. Its compelling.

It does require the book to have been written before the fall of Jerusalem,

so pre-70 AD which is entirely possible

…but has been argued against much in the last century because that would directly conflict with pre-mill, pre-trib crowd

which published many materials and was taught in most seminaries.

Essentially, John was writing to Christians in Jerusalem, explaining that God was "divorcing the Jews"

…trying to cryptically relay to them that great tribulation was coming so get out….and it did!
