Florida congressman files article of impeachment against U.S. Defense secretary

U.S. Rep. Cory Mills, R-Florida, made good on his promise earlier this year to file articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. On Friday, he filed one article of impeachment against Austin alleging high crimes and misdemeanors.

Mills appears to be the first to file an article of impeachment against a Defense secretary in U.S. history.

“High-level officials in this administration blatantly ignored intel that Americans and our allied partners in Kabul would be left behind in harm’s way unless the U.S. corrected course in our withdrawal" from Afghanistan, Mills, a veteran of the U.S. Army, said. "As a result, nearly 200 people, including 13 American servicemembers, were murdered at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan two years ago.

“Because of this clear dereliction of duty, today I am introducing articles of impeachment for Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. It’s not enough for Congress to hold committee hearings. We must start taking real action to address the complete failure of this administration.”

He filed a House resolution on Friday citing the article, one day before August 26, which “marks two years to the day that we lost 13 of our brave servicemembers. The fact that it has been two entire years without any member of this administration being held accountable is unfathomable. That changes today.”

Article One states “Dereliction of duty resulting in abandonment of Americans in Afghanistan. In his role as Secretary of Defense, and in violation of his constitutional oath to defend and secure our country and uphold the Constitution, taken on January 22, 2021, Lloyd James Austin III engaged in high crimes and misdemeanors through his dereliction of his duties and intentional abandonment of Americans in Afghanistan.”

The impeachment resolution cites events that occurred on July 1, 2021, at Bagram Air Base under Austin’s direction, including freeing from prison a Taliban and ISIS terrorist who detonated a bomb outside of Hamid Karzai International Airport, which killed 13 American service members.

Because of Austin’s conduct, the resolution states, he’s “forsaken his sworn duties to the United States of America, its national security, and its people and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with the Constitution” warranting “impeachment and trial and removal from office.”

Mills previously told Austin he’d drafted articles of impeachment against him at a House Armed Services Committee hearing in March.

Austin replied by saying, “The congressman is certainly entitled to his opinion.” He then looked at Mills and said, “We all thank you for your service. I don’t take a back bench when it comes to patriotism, devotion to our cause here, protection to our troops.”

Austin told Mills he “commanded Bagram Airforce Base so I know a little bit about Bagram Airforce Base. But again, you’re welcome to your opinion and so I’ll leave it at that.”

The White House and the DOD have yet to issue a response.

Mills is the second Republican congressman from Florida to file articles of impeachment this month. Two weeks ago, US Rep. Greg Steube, R-Florida, filed four articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

Biden’s Top Candidate To Be Ambassador to Israel Leads Pro-China Think Tank

Jack Lew has cozied up to Beijing and earned praise from Chinese state media

President Biden’s top candidate for ambassador to Israel hosted Chinese Communist Party officials as chairman of a think tank described as "consistently soft on China." That could be cause for concern as the United States seeks Israel’s help in combating Beijing’s growing influence in the Middle East—and to weaken the growing ties between Israel and China.

Jack Lew, the leading contender for the post, serves as chairman of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, an advisory group that supports closer business and diplomatic ties between the United States and China. The committee is funded by corporations like Citigroup, Blackstone, and BlackRock, the private equity behemoth the Wall Street Journal has labeled a "powerful friend" of China.

Lew, who took the helm of the National Committee in January 2021, has hosted top CCP officials and met in Beijing with China’s foreign minister, who during their meeting blamed the United States for creating the "root causes" of tension in the United States-China relationship. Lew, who served as Treasury secretary under President Barack Obama, also took part in a commemorative event organized by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, which conducts foreign influence operations for the CCP.

While China may not be at the top of Lew’s portfolio as ambassador to Israel, his views on United States-China relations would loom large in his dealings with Jerusalem. The American government has ramped up pressure on the Israelis to cut ties with China. The Biden administration has also pushed for a pact between Israel and Saudi Arabia in order to curb China’s growing influence in the Middle East.

One intelligence analyst who studies China’s influence activities said groups like the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the Asia Society, another pro-China advocacy group, are "consistently soft on China."

"Individuals with strong links to China, including through organizations like the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations or Asia Society, should have no place in U.S. politics," said Anders Corr, an intelligence analyst and publisher of the Journal of Political Risk.

Leaders at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations often appear on Chinese state television to criticize American foreign policy toward China, while largely ignoring Beijing’s aggression. Stephen Orlins, the committee’s president, asserted this year that the United States is "overly hostile" to China. Orlins, who one Chinese media outlet described as "China-friendly," called the Trump administration—which took a tough stance toward Beijing—a "four-year nightmare."

National Archives acknowledges 5,400 Biden pseudonym emails, faces lawsuit for their release

The new lawsuit turns up the pressure on the archives to release the documents.

The National Archives and Records Administration acknowledged possessing potentially up to 5,400 emails connected to then-Vice President Joe Biden's pseudonym accounts that he used to forward government information and discuss business with his son, Hunter Biden, and others, and on Monday the Southeastern Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit to compel the agency to turn over the emails.

The non-profit constitutional legal group that filed the lawsuit said the archives confirmed that Biden used the pseudonyms of Robin Ware, Robert L. Peters, and JRB Ware during his time in the Obama administration.

The archives' admissions confirm years of reporting from Just the News about Biden's use of a personal email as vice president and the pseudonym accounts he used.

The legal foundation first filed a Freedom of Information Act request to the archives for Biden's emails in 2021 on behalf of Just the News editor-in-chief John Solomon.

The legal foundation renewed its initial request last year with a second FOIA request, but the archives "has failed to produce a single one of these emails," the group said.

Monday's lawsuit turns up the pressure on the archives to release the documents.

"All too often, public officials abuse their power by using it for their personal or political benefit. When they do, many seek to hide it," Southeastern Legal Foundation general counsel Kimberly Hermann said. "The only way to preserve governmental integrity is for NARA to release Biden’s nearly 5,400 emails to SLF and thus the public. The American public deserves to know what is in them."

The legal foundation is not the only group trying to obtain Biden's emails.

Earlier this month, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer asked the archives to turn over Biden's communications as vice president with his son and his business partners.

Israeli Strikes Hit Syria’s Aleppo Airport Causing Heavy Damage

The fifth reported Israeli attack on Aleppo International Airport this year leaves the airfield out of service

The Israeli military attacked Aleppo International Airport in the early hours of Monday morning, according to Syrian state media, Sana.

At about 4.30 am local time Israel carried out an “aerial act of aggression” from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, said the Syrian state news agency, Sana.

It reported no casualties, but the Syrian transport ministry said the damage to the only functioning runway has put the airport out of service, adding that flights have been diverted to Damascus and Latakia airports.

“Maintenance teams will start repair work today to return the airport to service as quickly as possible,” ministry official Suleiman Khalil told AFP.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said weapons depots at the adjacent Nayrab military airport were also targeted by air strikes.

The strike comes a week after an Israeli attack on sites near Damascus killed two pro-government fighters, according to the Observatory.

This is the fifth time in under one year that Israel has struck Aleppo airport.

Alleged Israeli strikes last put Aleppo airport out of service in May, and prior to that twice in March, and one in September 2022.

Israeli missile strikes have also hit the airport in the Syrian capital of Damascus at least four times this year.

The Israeli military has made no comment following the latest attacks, a stance it has maintained following previous assaults on Syria.

Israel has conducted hundreds of air strikes in Syria since 2011, targeting Syrian troops, Iran-backed fighters and Hezbollah.

However, attacks targeting airports and paralysing aviation have become more frequent over the last year.

WA MP James Hayward found guilty of child sex abuse, disqualified from parliament

A Western Australia politician is behind bars and has been automatically disqualified from parliament after being found guilty of sexually abusing a young girl in the state's south-west.

Key points:

James Hayward was accused of making the girl indecently touch him

Hayward pleaded not guilty, calling the claims "complete and utter lies"

He was charged in late 2021 but stayed in parliament as an independent

Legislative Council member James Hayward had been on trial in the District Court for the past week on four charges of indecently dealing with the girl between 2019 and 2021, when she was aged between 6 and 8.

After deliberating for more than four hours, the jury found Hayward guilty of two of the indecent dealing charges — he was acquitted of the remaining two charges including the allegation he showed the girl how to search online for pornography.

Members of Hayward's family sobbed after the verdicts were delivered.

The court was told Hayward made the girl indecently touch him on three occasions and also showed her how to search for pornography on the internet.

A crucial piece of evidence was what prosecutors claimed was a confession to the abuse, in a suicide email to his wife in December 2021.

Fists Fly, Bodies Slammed As Antifa Crashes Anti-Migrant Protest At NYC Mayor's Mansion

Cops had their hands full at the New York City mayor's mansion on Sunday when black-clad antifa counterprotestors showed up at a demonstration against Mayor Eric Adams' handling of the 2023 migrant crisis.

More than 100,000 migrants have poured into New York City since April 2022, overwhelming the government's capacity to house and feed them. Many residents of the city and surrounding areas are growing increasingly resentful of the measures Adams has approved, from kicking wedding parties out of hotels to shipping migrants to suburban counties and even housing adult men in the gyms of actively-used elementary schools.

New Yorkers are also alarmed by scenes like these:

Colorado Democrats Appoint Marxist Teacher Who Called for ‘FORCEFUL Cultural Revolution’ Against ‘Whiteness’ to State Legislature

Colorado Democrats Appoint Marxist Teacher Who Called for ‘FORCEFUL Cultural Revolution’ Against ‘Whiteness’ to State Legislature

On his social media accounts, Hernández called for a “FORCEFUL cultural revolution,” particularly against American “whiteness” and “white supremacy.”

Hernández said that a good way to teach children about Communism is to show them the movie “A Bug’s Life” to teach them about “proletariat revolution.”

“If White people spent HALF of the time they spend trying to distance themselves from their Whiteness and instead spent it actually deconstructing systems of White supremacy, where would we be?” he asked. “[S]ystems of white supremacy are upheld by individuals- to remove individuality from this conversation is unproductive… I am absolutely advocating for a Cultural Revolution where we dismantle individual and systemic White supremacy,” he said in January 2021, according to the Fox News report.

“We’re talking about Whiteness and White supremacy. And I’m willing to advocate for any form of disruption to it and every manifestation it has,” he said.

“Am I denying the freedom to uphold White supremacy? If so, I am in favor of that denial. And, White supremacy is CURRENTLY upheld by force. So yes, I’m advocating a FORCEFUL cultural revolution wherein we assert the dignity of life for all at the expense of White supremacy.”

The newly elected official has also said that white people need re-education.

“How long are we going to have to wait for White people to ‘grow’ and ‘unlearn?’ Because [to be honest], having to wait for the group in our society that has the slightest education levels, most economic power, and highest political capital to ‘grow’ seems like bulls–t to me,” he said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The network previously reported on the teacher after he went on a racist rant against white people at a union protest.

“I want to tear some s—t up it out for you. Are you ready?” Hernández said at the protest.

Medical Professionals Silenced by AHPRA

Ten medical professionals have had their registrations suspended by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) simply because they spoke out about the COVID injection risks — 4 doctors, 5 nurses and 1 pharmacist.

Even now, AHPRA officials remain in denial about the risks that these injections pose, despite the growing body of evidence that contradicts the marketing slogan of safe and effective.

Australians forced against their will into getting these shots to continue their job, education or see family and loved ones did not have the benefit of 'honest advice'. Although they should have been able to freely discuss their needs, they were not given this opportunity because the statement AHPRA put out to clarify existing health advice and media coverage around it served to effectively muzzle healthcare providers through fear.

At no time did the agencies involved in providing public health advice reassure medical professionals or their patients that they still had the right to privacy and confidentiality. Patients receiving medical advice before undergoing treatment were entitled to be warned of risk.

Let's not forget these injections were only provisionally approved due to the experimental nature of the mRNA and vector technology. If our best and brightest medical professionals are feeling silenced by government bodies that will punish any criticism of novel medicines, what have we become?

We now know the jab roll-out is a military/health response which is why it by-passed the usual safety protocols. These were products that were not ready to be injected into the arms of people and yet the only ones protected are the manufacturers.

It's time for the Health Minister, AHPRA, TGA and ATAGI to loosen the stranglehold they have on our healthcare professionals and let them be free to do their jobs. Australians deserve nothing less.

Australia's first female prime minister ridiculed after calling 'what is a woman?' a 'gotcha' question, struggling for over 4 minutes to answer it

During an event Friday concerning "women's advancement," Australia's first female prime minister was confronted with what proved to be a difficult question, namely, "What is a woman?"

Julia Gillard's tortured four-minute response, wherein she managed to avoid ever mentioning those immutable characteristics that distinguished her from all her predecessors, has prompted ridicule and contempt internationally.

Gillard, a Welsh-born lawyer, became Australian prime minister in June 2010. Facing an abysmal approval rating, her left-leaning Labor Party ousted her three years later, but not before she could issue her famous lecture about misogyny to her soon-to-be successor across the aisle, Tony Abbott.

The former prime minister joined Frances Adamson, the governor of South Australia, at Government House in Adelaide last week to discuss "the issues, challenges and opportunities facing Australian women."

At one point during the event, women's rights activist and comedian Biddy O'Loughlin asked a set of penetrating questions germane to the topic at hand: "What is a woman, and do you agree with Queensland's Attorney-General Minister for Women Shannon Fentiman that trans women are women and with UK's leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer that some women can have a penis?"

Gillard said she would be happy to answer, but prefaced her response by expressing concern that "this has turned into a kind of 'gotcha' parlor game."

Rather than partake in such a "game," Gillard suggested that it would be prudent instead to "come at this once again from first principles."

On the basis of first principles, Gillard concluded, "There are a number of people who genuinely believe that they are trapped in the wrong body, and they want to be recognized as the gender their mind and soul have always told them that they are — and that doesn't go one way. It goes both ways. You know, people who have transitioned from being men to being women and women who have transitioned to being men."

She added, "I think we've just got to say, like we'd want to show everybody else in the community love, inclusion, and respect, we should do that for each of those individuals."

Concerning what constitutes a "woman" in 2023, Gillard appeared willing to defer to transvestites, saying, "Transsexual women believe that part of that inclusion is referring to them the way they want to be referred to, using the pronouns that they want to have used about them. I would seek to do that in that circumstance."

Australia's first woman prime minister then intimated the controversy over whom is meant by "woman" is not "inherent in the discussion."
