I liked HOW you expressed your opinion on that subject.

I'd add that there is no navigating through a White Squall. It comes upon the crew and ship suddenly. Reaction time is minimal. Prior all is preparation, one way or the other. There is no inevitable White Squall, though the telling of the tale is worthy because, yes, the crew and ship were set upon by a sudden fury and in retrospect the White Squall added meaning.

Life happens to us all.

What is the ship beneath you? We can define by what it is not, for now. It is not a toy. Can we define it by it is – with or without being hit by a White Squall (or multiples)? By the threat that such have and can occur?

Can we define by thinking of the structure of or the framework of self-governance? Preparation? Building something – ourselves, The People – we have a government, not the other way around. A Republic, if we can keep it.

Why sail if sailing is not a game?

Preparation for the unexpected fury, should it come.
