All it will take is the loss of confidence from other nations trading in dollars to start liquidating and rejecting US T-bonds en mass for global trade, then trading outside the USD & Western SWIFT system (this is starting to happen with the BRICS union nations) and eventually all that debt will be coming back over here flooding into our monetary system and markets. The value of the dollar compared to hard assets would tank, hyperinflation would be inevitable soon following an economic collapse. I can't say I've ever had a problem with my offline copies, although they are typically safe in cold storage not connected or powered up unless I need to view the content. Very seldom I'll have that "glitched file" but not common, 99.99% of my files work just fine offline. Yes, that's pretty much what I meant, only today we live in a globalized world with a global economy unlike 100+ years ago. We heavily rely on imports from other nations. We have very little industry production in the US anymore. Most of it outsourced. So that said, if other nations lose faith in the dollar, we would inevitably be fucked, until we come up with another currency and start reviving our industry in the US (which would take decades after a currency collapse and be very hard on average people financially for the time transitioning).

True. Biggest ideal strategy to focus on while prepping is food and water self-sufficiency which typically requires homesteading in a rural area with little or very lax zoning laws. Unincorporated areas, typically within some of the rust belt states that have traditional conservative majorities in rural counties. I don't really "follow" anyone or online persona. I'm willing to listen and hear different viewpoints and am pretty open minded. I can't say for sure there are not planted psyops in the alternative sphere, it actually would make sense to have plants like that on their end. But can we really prove it? Do we really know? That's why I simply pay attention to events, listen to what people are saying, see if that makes any sense, and come to my own conclusions. Usually my conclusions are to re-enforce my desire to be prepared for more bad stuff to happen, more chaos and further decline of our society unfortunately. You would still have a side of radicals in the population who are extremely pissed off and may take up arms and do very stupid hostile shit. I could imagine, if America were to fix things and actually "get back to normal", there would be those that would act violently to kill and sabotage everything they would, because they are radical extremists, that would be my fear.
