Plan To Commit $600 Million To Hawaiian Home Lands Development Advances

A proposal to use $600 million in new state funding to dramatically rev up construction of housing for Native Hawaiians is poised to pass a key House committee later this week, and appears certain to win the approval of the full House next week.
House Bill 2511 was co-sponsored by46 House Democratsincluding House Speaker Scott Saiki, and its progress in the 51-member House appears to be greased. A similar bill has been advancing in the state Senate, and is scheduled for further consideration in the Senate Ways and Means Committee on Thursday.
Both bills as originally proposed would dramatically increase state funding of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, which has a list of 28,000 people waiting for land and housing. Some have been waiting for decades to be assigned leases of trust lands under the federal Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920.

it's my understanding that he's just trying to keep his license as a therapist, even though he is not doing therapy anymore. It's the principle.
He admits freely he used to work for the UN, adhere to certain ideas they put forth, doesn't any more.
Can't say I subscribe to his idea of assembling a bunch of intellectuals as a WEF alternative (out of the frying pan….?) but he's one to follow, since this case is important.
He is so oppositional, however, that theY could try upping the ante - somehow destroy his reputation (plant CP, have some girl accuse him of something, etc.) and then take him out.
IMO, Peterson has a zealous streak, which makes him less rational than he thinks he is. True believer John Brown type, why he'll go to the walls for his beliefs. Good as an example of individual bravery but not got the street smarts to lead a movement.
