I dunno that I buy the DEW idea. It's far more likely that high winds knocked down energized power lines and started fires. No power kept the fire hydrant pressure at 0psi, and cops had no idea what to do with everyone on front street. I just got back from Lahaina about a month ago. There's really only 2 ways to get in or out of the town. Its ocean on one side and mountains on the other.

IMO, all the people in charge were put there because they are good ol boys, not because they were the best. All incompetent and made terrible decisions on what to do causing the death of thousands. They know this and are trying to cover it up as best they can. They're fucked already without there being anything to do with a DEW.

RE: melting point I get that. I saw footage of flames about 100ft high. It raged for hours.

I think I saw that vid. From the Ha real estate guy. That car in the parking lot was at the top of a grassy embankment that was burnt. The flames were blowing up the hill and caught the car on fire, baking it from the inside and out. The front of the car had a different burn than the back. It looked windswept to me, but I'm not a fireman either.
