>Markowe? Bacon? Who can keep them straight?

wellโ€ฆ it was an open secret back in the day

marlowe was an accomplished author when he killed a "made man" in a duel. forced to flee to save his life.

he turned up in italy, where he continued to write plays,

and coincidentally, at the same time, billybob, who was an uneducated peasant who had written NOTHING prior,

suddenly began churning out some of the greatest lit in english history.

and then there were the couriers who made frequent trips from london to italy.

all just coincidence, of course

>but if you have some reference materials you think I should read, I would be happy to review your recommendations.

sryโ€ฆ i wish i could off the top of my head. born with or developed eidetic memory, so i rely on that, rather than making footnotes.

and the shakespeare controversy isn't really a high priority for rigorous documentation

i recall an elderly female scholar who wrote several treatise on the subject

she was very convincing

all i got ATM

>Define eidetic

dija ever have a really traumatic experience?

i'll bet you can close your eyes and recall it so clearly, it's like it just happened, no matter how long ago

that's because there is a powerful emotional component to long term memory

people with eidetic memory simply CARE more about the subject

i care about knowledge, all knowledge, it is my life's passion

when presented with a fact i CARE about, i will remember it instantly and forever, just like your traumatic experience

i didn't CARE who did the detective work that established the true identity of the works attributed to shakespeare

i only CARED about the result, ergo, it is all i remember (some 40-50 yrs later)

you can BELIEVE whatever you want

i couldn't CARE less

>On a scale of 1-10, how clear are your memories from that time?

10

i was in mr. darling's civics class

the loudspeak crackled, and the principle annouced the president had been shot, the rest of the day was canceled, and we were all being sent home

when my father got home, my parents just looked at each other. it was clear that they knew there was fuckery afoot

when JR shot LHO in the basement of the dallas PD the next day, that sealed the deal

it was as if joy had been sucked out of life

when i tried to talk to them about who killed JFK, they said the subject was off limits

if they could kill the pres and get away with it, they could kill anyone who talked about it

>i was in mr. darling's civics class

want more?

i was sitting three rows back from the front, slightly to the left facing forward.

the walls were painted yellow

the ancient looking loudspeaker was on the wall directly behind the teacher, above the blackboards

it was wooden and trapezoidal shaped, with a black cloth grille covering the speaker, and thin wooden muttons over that

mr. darling was wearing a white shirt with a bowtie

the desks were the old fashioned ones with cast iron frame, and a sloped desktop that was hinged in the back, and opened by tilting it up

you could put books for your other classes in there while working on civics
