Another example of illegal alien privilege:
"Boston city councilors want to make it easier for street food vendors to operate in the city as a way to help them succeed financially and to bring other cultures into the neighborhoods. District 1 City Councilor Gabriela Coletta has proposed an ordinance that would provide permits for vendors who sell food from non-motorized carts. While these vendors are currently allowed, they have to go through multiple government departments and get multiple permits for permission to operate, including having a business plan approved by the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, getting a health permit from the Inspectional Services Department and approval for sidewalk occupancy from the Department of Public Works.
“Operators of these sidewalk enterprises are predominantly those who have immigrated here from other countries and we should be celebrating and fostering anyone who wishes to share their culture and culinary talents in order to support themselves and their families,” she said.
At-large Councilor Julia Mejia pointed out that many street vendors are already operating in the city, and that “punishing them because the system hasn’t caught up is not helpful.”
